MM356

Hi Friends, I played with my new Simon Says Stamp July Card Kit tonight. Most of the supplies on the card are from the kit. I had fun heat embossing the Popsicle on water color paper and water coloring with distress inks. The paper is from the kit too and I just love the bright colors of the Bo Bunny Lemonade paper. Since I don't have a SSS birthday sentiment I had to use My Favorite Things. I finally got my hands on the MFT stitched circle stax. So cute. The tag die is MFT too.

I used the Mojo Monday Sketch 356 but made it A2 size.

Some Challenges this card fits are:
Seize the birthday -Birthday card with optional use of twine.

Merry Monday 118

Hi friends! Yes, another Christmas Card...but in my defense there's a lot of Christmas in July challenges going on, lol, not that I need an excuse! I pulled out my Prisma Pencils to color this cute Recollections Santa. Love white pencil on Kraft CS, as I've said before.
I'm following the Merry Monday Challenge 118 to use button(s) and ribbon on your card. I also used the Mojo Monday Sketch 355, do you recognize it? I changed it a bit by moving the flag element to the right side and changing the flags to tags! It fit my card better not to cover up the left side. The paper is K& Co.
The tags and sentiment are from PTI Tiny Tags set. Sheesh, making flat cards for mailing is just not happening lately!
Other items: Momento Rubarb Stalk and Cottage Ivy Ink. CTMH Black ink, Joannes ribbon, May Atrs twine, Button who knows? lol

The inside.

Some other Challenges I'm linking to are:
Bloggers Challenge -Xmas in July
Jelly Park Challenge -Xmas in July
Creative Knockouts -Xmas in July
There are a ton more challenges I could link to but I'm too tired!

Catered Crop-Use Vellum

Hi all, Today I'm sharing a card I made months ago for my local card club. I led the group to make variations of this card by coloring on the back of heat embossed vellum. I colored mine with Copics. Others used Stampin Up markers. The layout design of the card came from me casing several similar cards from Pinterest.

I used this SU stamp set ____ Flowers  which we heat embossed on PTI vellum with white EP. Then you simply color on the back and the color shows thru the vellum to the other side. To have these flowers really show up well they must have white paper behind them or they loose the wow factor. I added pearls to the centers of my flowers. The rest of the card is just layers of dry embossed and die cut white card stock. The sentiment is from a Flourishes set.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Catered Crop -Vellum
Curtain Call -Anything Goes
Crafters Cafe -Anything Goes
7 Kids College Fund -Anything Goes
Penny's Paper Crafty 187 -Anything Goes
The Sisterhood of Crafters -Diecuts or punches (I used dies to cut out flowers and scalloped oval.)
Simon says Stamp Blog -Emboss it

Wedding Shower Card

Hi crafty friends, I made this card for the sentiment challenge at Crafting by Designs this week where I am guest designing. I'm very happy to be joining and checking this off my list for a card I need for my daughter's shower coming up. It sure has been a busy year with a new Grandson and an upcoming wedding!!!

I pulled out my Simon Says Stamp June kit. Just about all the items on my card are from that kit including the stamp set Favorite Flowers. The paper and enamel dots are MME Now & Then Mildred. I added a knotted piece of gray satin ribbon that matched the CS card base and it fulfills the design element from the sketch Mojo Monday 354. The tab die is MFT.

Some other challenges are:
Craft-room Challenge -Wedding or Anniversary
Fan-tastic Tuesday Anything Goes
Curtain Call -Anything Goes

Catered Crop BFF

Hi all, Yippie, I was asked to be part of the BFF quickfire post for Catered Crop because my Watermelon Summer Lovin card was chosen as one of the winners last week! The theme this week is BFF or make a friend card. There is a fantastic graphic of cards to inspire you as well as the design team submissions. Won't you play with us? Here's the link.
Catered crop BFF Although I have some copic-colorable stamps I could have used, I chose to use my new Our Daily Bread Designs "Sewn with Love" stamp set for this card that pairs well with Carta Bella  "Sew Lovely" cute sewing themed paper. So pretty. AND I love the color Navy so much I had to have this paper. :)

I used SSSC 226 sketch. Momento Paris Dusk ink was used for the sentiment and Adirondack Cloudy Blue was used to sponge around the diecut rectangle. Ya gotta have sewing on a themed card like this and a cute (SC) wood veneer spool wrapped with pink twine from May Arts ( CC Designs) . Insert a little heart shaped pin (origin unknown) and were good to go! All set to give my friend for her birthday in a few weeks.

I'm absolutely thrilled to be joining the Catered Crop for this challenge. Thank you so much for including me!

Merry Monday Mojo

Hi Peeps, I needed to post a card while making several cards for guest design spots that I can't show right now so I opted for a Christmas card. I'm happy to have a growing stash and to also be challenged by Merry Monday 116! This week's challenge is to use GREEN and WHITE, neutrals ok.

I followed Mojo Monday 353 and created with some K and Company paper. I have several big stacks from before I discovered 6x6 paper. This one had some great greens and neutrals with gold accents, which I consider neutral. The stamp sentiment is Waltzingmouse.  I used my SB poinsettia die, ribbon and sequins to finish it off.

SSSC225, Card Concept 13-Baby

Hi Friends, I'm sharing a baby card today. My friend became a grandmother to a baby girl so I had to make this. I used SSSC225 but I left off the partitions from the bottom because I couldn't make them work.
I just realized I didn't put 2 items on the left side either but I'll add them. That side looks a little naked anyway and needs them.
This paper is soooo pretty. It's K&Co 8x8 from several years ago, name unknown. The card stock is SU and bazzill. I am LOVING the memory box butterfly! Not sure if I ever used it. The small butterfly is a MS punch. The tab die and letters are MFT dies. Oh, the colors of this just make me melt, they are so pretty!

I'm submitting this to the Card Concept Challenge 13-Oh Baby also. I guess it's clean and layered? I would almost call it elegant, maybe when I add the 2 pink pearls to it, then maybe it could be elegant?
Not sure. I'll go read the definitions again. Some other challenges are:

Brown Sugar -Anything Goes

Have a great day! Happy 4th of July!

SSS224-Summer

Hi Friends, I thought a summer card was in order so I inked up one of my beloved Flourishes stamps.
Boo hoo, still haven't gotten over them closing. Watermelon sure does say Summer, right?
Making this card made me very happy. I hadn't made a card in over a week and I was having withdrawal symptoms. I had to clean up my disaster of a desk before I could make this.
I really enjoyed coloring this with Copics and matching it to some yummy gingham paper from MME Lost & Found 2. I followed Karen's sketch from last week because it was perfect for showcasing my watermelon.
I inked up the sentiment from the same set and added a button and twine. I got the sweet lace from a Flourishes prize pack when they were still open.
I'll link this up to some "summer" challenges listed below.
Hope you are enjoying summer!
