Jenny's B-Day Card

Isn't the paper from "Sweet Stack from DCWV yummy?
And I love the digital stamps from Sassy Studio, which I used to make my Niece's birthday card.
I used a gatefold card base which I covered with 2 panels of lavender cs. I added 2 of patterned paper.
I colored my image with colored pencils and matted on pink cs and added mini red brads. I stitched the yellow satin ribbon on the card on the folds so it can open & close.
Happy Birthday, Jenny!

The Greeting Farm.Mer.Ian

The Greeting Farm has a digital image challenge that I'm playing along with. The first image

they gave away is this cute Merman named Ian. He is so cute! I cut the sea weed and starfish

with the "life's a beach cricut cartridge. I used navy and green cardstock.

The designer paper has beach images. I used rain dots to look like bubbles under water.

I added a basic grey button and some sheer ribbon. I just love these colors, they are like sea glass! I can't wait to get the next image from The Greeting Farm for this 5 day challenge.

CPS150-Fluffles.Birthday.Card

Isn't Fluffles the Cat cute? I just love him. He makes me smile. I made this card for the CPS #150 card challenge. I used some paper from the nook and pantry paper pack from Basic Grey. The base is brown bazzill cardstock. I zigzag stitched around the outside. The buttons are basic grey too. I added orange stickles and piercd around the image with a paper piercer. This is the first time I've done that technique. I colored the image in my usual way, with primsa pencils
and mineral spirts. I love matching the coloring with the paper! Enjoy the warm-ish January weather.

Mojo121 Paula's Engagement Card

My friend announced her engagement last week. I couldn't wait to make a card for her. I used the mojo monday 121 sketch as a starting point. I used some beautiful K&Co. paper in beige and white. Also silver and black paper.
I used the wedding solutions cartridge and my cricut expression. I added some small pearls. The problem is knowing when to stop adding embellishments!!!
I can't wait to mail this to my friend because she waited a long time to find Mr. Right! WooHoo!

Grama's Birthday Card

Since my Grandmother was a member of the Ziegfeld Follies dance troupe, I used an image from the internet to craft her a birthday card. It was the first time I made a easel card and although it was a little small, I enjoyed trying something new. I cut the hat from Paper Doll Dress Up in red and added a feather and prima flower. I used a paper that looks like an old newspaper but it didn't give me the vintage vibe I was looking for. It was a good learning experience and I'm sure my grandmother enjoyed it.

Mojo 120, Baby Card

I made this card for the Mojo Monday challenge, Fussy and Fancy "New" challenge, Cupcake Craft Challenge Baby Card and for my Brother's girlfriend who's having a girl in March.
I have admired this stamp from a set I own but have never used it. It worked out good for this card sketch, the size is large but it's really nice. I cut the circle and scalloped circle with the cricut, George and Storybook cartridge. I used DCWV Nana's Girl paper. I used pink, blue and yellow cardstock run thru the cuttlebug with swiss dots folder. I also used the gorgeous MS doily border punch, sewed around the gingham mat and added a few pink gems. Lastly I added a polka dot ribbon and a basic grey button. I just couldn't make a baby girl card without a bow! I have discovered that having a sketch to work with when creating a card cuts down the time it takes me to make one. ( It still takes a long time, tho!) I still agonize over choosing paper. :) All in all, I enjoy the process. :)
