The Challenge 58

Hi Friends, It's Friday, YAY! I have a card to share with you inspired by The Challenge 58-Masculine  photo inspiration. I used the colors in the photo and this Hero Arts car for a nod to the headlight. I don't have the skills to color this car with rust on it but I wished I could!

After coloring with Copics I used Tuesday Morning Sketches sketch this week to put the card together. I substituted the rectangles for label shaped and left off the flower element and used enamal dots. (those are navy not black)
It wasn't the best choice to use sliver embossing power for the sentiment but I still like it. I'm happy to have this in my stash for one of the men in my family.
Thanks for visiting.

Birthday Pinata Card

Hey Friends, I'm sharing a birthday card today that I made with a retired Freshly Made stamp set, Birthday Bash. Pinata elements are showing up in paper crafting lately so I pull out this set. I had never used it but it's so cute.

I should have sponged the background of the oval but I will next time. I want to make more of these. The sequins are a mixture of Doodlebug sequins I mixed to match the ink colors which are Momento.

This is so sparkly and fun when shaken! I used die cut fun foam instead of foam tape which so much better.
Thanks for visiting!

Mojo Monday 431, Challenge 57

Hey Friends, It's Saturday and I got to play in my craft room today! I've been wanting to play in "The Challenge 57" this week. I love the lacey, shabby goodness in the photo inspiration pic. I used the Mojo Monday Sketch 431 as a starting point.

I stamped the Hero Arts Birthday Sentiment on a cream card stock circle and over stamped a TH cursive text stamp with Tattered Rose ink. I die cut the flower with MFT dies and added a gem brad. I added some pretty lace, die cut leaves and a brown twine bow. This card is for my Aunt's birthday in March.

For my second card, I used Mojo Monday 431 again to create a Christmas card for Merry Monday 188 "Hot Bevvies" . I used a hot chocolate image from Lawn Fawn's Love you a latte. I kept my circle elements a bit high on the base so not to cover cover up the cute background paper. Thanks for visiting!

Lawnscaping 122

Hey there Friends, How are you this cold winter day? I'm sharing a Valentine card for several challenges. I'm playing in the Lawnscaping 122 "water color" challenge and the "critters" challenge for Simon Says Stamp Wed. Challenge (sponsored by Lawn Fawn). Then, for a nod to Jenn Shurkus's "Coolest Card Series" I had to add a few snowflakes to my scene.

I water colored the background on water color paper with Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Festive Berries Distress Inks. I also smooshed the same inks on another piece of paper and die cut the heart. I used a water brush and Antique Linen ink for the bunnies.

I used Rileys ABC's LF stamp set for the word Valentine, heat embossed in gold powder. The bunnies, snowflakes and other sentiment are from LF Snow Day. Other Lawn Fawn items are the Puffy Clouds border dies, hillside border dies, gold bakers twine, Polka in the Dark Paper. Rectangle die is LID and of course PPP sparkling clear sequins.
Thanks for visiting!

MM187 and Coolest Card Series

Hi Friends, I'm combining some challenges to save time because the deadlines are looming so please scroll down to see both cards!
My paper for this card is Simple Stories Cozy, Simon Says Stamps Tag dies, Hero Arts stamp, SB poinsettia dies, misc. ribbon and enamel dots.

Card 2

For this card I used a new SSS stamp set Peace, Love and Joy for the snowman and sentiment. I watercolored  a background with several distress inks. I heat embossed the sentiment and snowflakes.
I added a MFT die cut snowflake, heart and button.

A Warm Heart

Hi Friends, I have a multi-use card to share today. I think it could be a Valentine or a Thank you card or a just because. I was inspired by the Card Concept 46 Inspiration photo. It spoke to me and said "get out a winter stamp and used grey, red and white". :)

So I pulled out 2 retired Flourishes stamps, the image and the sentiment are from different sets. If you are looking for these stamps, I may be able to hook you up with someone who's selling retired Flourishes. (Not me)

So the card is pretty straight forward. I colored the image on Copic paper with Copics, cut it out with SB oval dies. The grey paper is from Bo Bunny, a Christmas line from last year. I die cut some MFT snowflakes, added a few gems, heat embossed the sentiment and DONE.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Coolest card series

Hi Friends, I have a card to share that meets many challenges. It's actually a birthday card for a friend who has a January birthday. But I wanted to use these adorable dies I recently purchased from Avery Elle!
A while back I bought the stamps, AE Snow much fun, which has the great winter animals. But the coordinating die set, Snow Caps, jumped in my cart one day. I used to ski and ride in Gondolas all the time so I NEEDED this. Hahaha.

I was planning to make this card and then saw Jenn Shurkus "Coolest Card Series" so I added some texture paste with my SSS falling snow stencil. I die cut the gondola and cable with Silver foil paper! So FUN!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Lawnscaping 121 Winter

Hi, I need warm wishes right now. It's very cold here today in the Northeast. Good thing this cute squirrel is offering his friend a hot beverage! I used several Lawn Fawn Sets for this. The bear and squirrel come from "Love you S'more". The sentiment is from "Love you a Latte" and the tiny cup and hat is from "Holiday Party Animal". They are colored with Copics and fussy cut out.
I followed Mojo Monday Sketch 429 and used Bo Bunny Altitude patterned paper. Some MFT die cut snowflakes and PPP sparkling clear sequins finish it off.

MM 186 Jingle

Hi Friends, would you believe I've never made a white on white card? It's true! Of course this one uses some silver but it's mostly white! I'm playing in Merry Monday's 186 challenge and "The Challenge #55" over at Always Playing with Paper. Believe it or not I'm NOT tired of making Christmas cards. With my December Daily project taking up all my time, I didn't get to use some of my new holiday stamp sets.
So I achieved this card with dry and heat embossing, SU Whisper white card stock, DCWV glitter paper, Hero Arts sentiment, Lil Inkers bell dies, foam tape, PPP sparkling clear sequins and silver twine.

Cheers

Hey there Friends, Happy New Year! I'm sharing a card I made with a retired Flourishes stamp. It's the champagne glass one and the Cheers! I masked part of the glass with the strawberry to make a second glass so that they are toasting. I colored it with Copics and cut the partial circle with a MFT stitched circle die.
I believe the Just saying Hello stamp is Hero Arts heat embossed with white on black card stock. Gee, I'm batting a thousand today because I can remember the pad of paper that my background paper comes from, sorry! lol.
Gold and white lawn fawn lawn trimmings twine was used also.
