Thank.you.snow.much

Hi Friends, I'm off from work this week and LOVIN' IT. My boss closed the business for a week so we all could have a vacation. Yippee!
Today I have 2 cards in one post that I made for a couple of challenges. First, the most recent Phindy's Challenge, Thank you with Scraps. I used "Back to Nature" image from Phindy's. I colored it up with prismacolor pencils & OMS. The scraps I used are the purple cardstock and the yellow dot paper from Crate Paper.

This is a second card I made for Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #171. I used another Phindy's Image "Here's to you". The paper is My Mind's Eye that I mail ordered from Die Cuts R Us. I love buying those 6x6 sample packs of paper. I don't like to buy 5 lbs. of paper of the same line that I will never use. This paper with the numbers on it reminds me of the countdown to New Years Eve at midnite!   Kim

How you like my cards! Here are the links to the challenges.

Creatures.great&small.Mojo.170

Hi,  a quick post before I miss the Phindy's Place Challenge for the week. I also used the Mojo 170 sketch challenge. It's so fun to match my colored pencils to the DP. As you can see, I used 2 embossing folders, cut a snow flake with the cricut, cut the verve sentiment with a nestie, and tied on a gingham ribbon.
Thanks for visiting. Kim

Tags for Gifts

Hi all, a quick post to show some tags I made with my cricut and fun selections of holiday paper I got from Die Cuts R Us. The skier, blue snow flake and the quad are cut with Going Places. The tree and the bird are from Joys of the season. These were SO fun because they made up so fast plus I matched the tag colors to the wrapping paper I was using. oh yeah, I think the tags were cut with George. The white snow flake is a MFT die.
The papers are several different ones. Hope you like them!

B.Day.mojo169.CQC.63

Hello bloggers, I deviated from Christmas cards for a while to make a birthday card. No one particular in mind, just wanting to do the mojo monday sketch and  play with my Martha Stewart glitter. The technique I used to adhere the glitter to the star die cut was to run the star thru a xyron and then sprinkler the glitter on the sticky side.  The paper is K&Co. Can't remenber the name of the stamp. Ta Ta for now!

Extra Christmas Cards

This card was a Verve Sketch from a while back with a Phindy's image, Cranberries and popcorn. I added glossy accents to the cranberries for shine. I used K&Co paper, a verve sentiment stamp, some ribbon and a oval cut from SB Cricut cart.

This a a recent sketch from Mojo Monday that I missed the posting date on. The image is Sweet and Sassy cut with a Nestie. These are echo park papers, so non-traditional and pretty!

Baby's First Christmas

Hopefully a cute pile of kittens and mittens says Baby's First Christmas! This card is for my sweet 8 month old niece, to tuck in with her gift. I can't wait to see her on Christmas Day at Mom's! Another Phindy's image which is my favorite right now. The green paper is Girls Paperie and the Pink is Crate Paper. Verve sentiment stamp, an embossing folder, unknow grograin and a bell finish it off.

Mass produced Cards

Hi! These are the cards I mass produced for mailing. Not that it was THAT many. 18 to be exact. I tried to keep it simple. The tree is the most gorgeous sparkly gold glitter paper but the photo doesn't show it. The card base and sentiment paper are ivory. i heat embossed the Merry Christmas wording. I made the bows with a Bow Easy!

White Chistmas

Hi all, did ya think I fell off the earth? I have been busy having some minor surgery and christmas shopping. I have been creating but not blogging!
I went to see Irving Berlin's White Christmas, the play, in Hartford and it made my holiday season! This card is inspired by the play and it is going to my friend who joined me to see the play. It just so happens that Basic Grey's Jolie paper collection has this luscious plaid paper. There was a scene in the play with all plaid costumes so I HAD to use this paper! My image is a Phindy's digital image that I love. The only problem is, when I put stickles on the image the ink ran and made the stickles black! Ugh. I couldn't do it over so I'm just going to accept less than perfection. I used some green organza ribbon, a nestie for the sentiment, some small jingle bells.
Thanks for looking! Kim

Bob's.B.Day.60

Hi Friends,
I made this card for my brother-in-law for his 60 birthday. I hope he likes it. It will be waiting for him in his mailbox when he comes back from his birthday cruise to the Carribean!
As I was planing the card, saw a few challenges that this card would fit. A digi challenge, a color challenge and a men/boys challenge. They will be listed at the end of the post.
I used Basic Grey Lime Rickey 6x6 papers, a cuttlebug embossing folder, forgot the name, a Phindy's place digital stamp, a few gems and LL and cricut to cut out the "60". Hopefully, my B.I.L. will have some relaxing moments like Mr. Brown is on the card!

Circle.Halloween

Hi all,
Oh no, it's all most Halloween, which would be ok in itself, but that means the holidays are right around the corner. Yikes! I'm behind on creating halloween packaging treats for my daughters and nieces and nephews but I'll get it done.

I made the card base with a spellbinder scalloped die and a slightly smaller circle die. The card is only about 4 or 4.5 inches. I think the papers are Echo Park 6x6 from Die Cuts R Us.

Have you ever bought their sample packs? They are great if you don't want to buy lots of one kind of paper. I used PDDU for the pumpkin cut.
I will send this to my little 7 month old niece for Halloween.
Hugs, Kim

ColourQ.Cards

Hi Bloggity Blog Friends,
If only I knew what I was doing when it comes to
html!!! Maybe I can take a class?
In this post you will find 2 sketches, one current
and one is older, 2 colour challanges, and 2 cardsthat I made. I used There She Goes stamp
sets for each card and the sentiment on the pink card is from Crafty Secrets. Please scroll down to
see cards.

I hope the colors on the first card are close to the colors in the challenge. I don't have Stampin Up CS so I have not idea what color River Rock is! I think this will do! (Basic Grey 6x6 paper).

I love this Pink card. It's for my friend going thru Chemo right now. The clouds have pretty stickles on them which didn't photograph well. The houndstooth paper is Pink Paisley.

Boo.Banner

Hi Blog Friends,

I finished my Boo Banner, that I cased from Scrapbooks, Etc. I'll add the magazine info at the bottom of the post. I changed a few things. I used Basic Grey "Eerie" collection paper and stickers. You can click on pictures to enlarge.

I made the pleated rosettes that everyone is making these days using 1.5 inches x 12" of the striped paper. I added scalloped and plain circles behind the rosettes cut with spellbinder nestibilities. I cut the tree from PDDU cart. and expression.

I used Lyrical Letters cart. for the flags. I cut them at 4" (but they are about 6" long) out of food boxes I save. (like chipboard) Then cut the same size out of designer paper to cover them.

I sponged black staz on ink on the silver bells. I used Melissa Frances trims, orange striped ribbon from Joannes (couldn't find a good sized gingham), purple buttons from Joannes.

I cut the flas out on black cardstock to cover the back because it was not pretty with the bells glued on with hot glue. I attached the bells with black emb. floss.

Except for the tree, all the little embellishments are from the sticker collection. I stuck them all onto black cs and trimmed around them so they would be matted.

Autumn.Card.

Hi all, I made a card with the beautiful Basic Grey 6x6 paper Indian Summer. I decided to use that as a sentiment as well. I heat embossed it in gold but it doesn't show up well.

I'm disappointed in the way this came out. It's too busy. I think I was trying to force it which I shouldn't have done. The paper makes it pretty in person but there should have been more contrast between the border punched paper and the background paper, oh well, live and learn!!!

I put glossy accents on the round vase but it doesn't show in the picture. I was rushing to get this in the mail. I think the stamp is Inkadinkado, rubber. It was fun to color.

Hope you are all enjoying Fall.

PCS-Ghost, Mojo160

Hi there Friends, I finally got to make a Halloween Card. I have been working on a cool banner that I will post in a few days, maybe sooner, so I haven't been able to make a card. I was so envious of the cute cards on the blogs. Finally, I had time last night. This adorable digi stamp image is from Pink Cat Studio called scary ghosts ( I think!).

Get a load of that cute sock monkey! A-freakin-dorable. I colored it with my usual, prisma pencils and oms.

The paper is the yummy Echo Park, got a Die cuts R Us. I used a scalloped punch from EK Success, the white cs is embossed with spots and dots folder. Two basic grey buttons, some cute purple gingham ribbon, and a stamp that looks like zigzag stitching. So Cute!

Going to save this for DD, put in her room on Halloween! She's 26 but loves Halloween.
Thanks for looking. See below for links for challenges.

Blk.Red.Mini.Album

Hi bloggy friends, this is my newest mini album, my 3rd one, and I just love to make them. I was inspired by Mary from Cards TV Fall Blog Hop. A gal on that hop made a mini using A2 size folded paper. It was so simple and came out great. This is a gift for my Brother's girlfriend. They had a baby 6 months ago and these are pics of their cute family!

They were at an occasion where they had to wear Black & Red so I made the mini in those colors. I use the Mariposa Mat stack, DCWV. I made most of the embellishments with my cricut and spellbinder dies. I used various ribbon, buttons, pom pom trim, gems, pearls.

I hope you like it! Kim :) These are in reverse order. This is last page. Look at the cute little hands!

Beautiful!

Sweet!

Journaling page.

Mariposa paper is gorgeous!

So happy!

Fall.Squirrel.Card

Hi, I made this for several Fall themed challenges that I will list below. I started with A2 size kraft card base. I added some cosmo cricut wood grain paper that was embossed with a wood grain embossing folder, cuttlebug. The print paper is the other side of the brown paper embossed with divine swirls. I used papertrey ink stamp for squirrel and nuts about you sentiments. The acorn is from a different fall set. I added green sheer ribbon, wood button

and some brown/white bakers twine.

Thanks for looking!
