Inspired by all the little things 76

Hey Friends, It's time for Inspired by all the little things #76. This inspiration photo is so festive! I was going to create a New years Eve card but I really need birthday cards so that's what I chose.

I started out with some My Minds Eye papers from a SSS card kit last year. I love the gold foiling on it. I inked up another Simon Says Stamp Birthday sentiment and stamped it on a square panel. I fussed for hours (not really! ha!) to get some tails for the balloons tied on to them but gave up. A few gold stars finished it up.

Our guest this week is Joanne James from The Crafty Owl. Stop by the blog and check it out!

This is our last challenge for the year but we'll see you in January!
Merry Everything!

Inspired by all the little Things 75

Hey Friends, Welcome to Inspired by all the little things #75. I love this pretty image and I love to ice skate, although I haven't done it lately. I had a retired stamp that would have been perfect for this challenge but decided to take this stamp set out.

The moose skating is adorable! It's Avery Elle "snow much fun" stamps and dies.

I colored the images with Copics and die cut out. I sponged some distress ink to create a scene and layered everything on, including some pom poms for snowballs. A googly eye adds some fun!

Our guest this week is Bobby Hagen.  Stop on by and join us this week!

Inspired by all the little things 74

Hey Friends, the countdown to the holidays is ON!

This week at Inspired by all the little Things #74 we have a pretty inspiration for you. I choose to add some color this week but kept the star shape and sentiment!

I merely die cut a Spellbinder star die from red card stock and heat embossed the Simon says Stamp "Merry and Bright" with white powder. I punch a small hole and added some Twinery bakers twine. I set the star on some pretty gray bokeh paper which was matted on SSS dark gray CS.

Our guest this week is Maria Fischer. Stop by the blog and see what's cooking. And play along too!

Inspired by all the little things 73

Hi There, what a beautiful inspiration we have for you this week! Inspired by all the little things #73

I started out with a piece of Bristol paper and some sugary Zig markers. I stamped Wplus9 "Holiday Houses" in Versafine Black ink and colored the houses with similar colors to the photo, spreading and diluting the markers with water to get a pastel look. I did the same with the sentiment from the Wplus9 "Be Merry" stamps and dies.

After attaching a nest of gold thread and adhering the background to a card base, I called it done.

Susan Opel is our guest this week, Come join us this week, you can't resist those colors, can you?

Inspired by all the little things #72

Hi-di Ho, Friends. It's time for Inspired by all the little Things #72. I chose to make a mostly white card with some sliver accents.

I used Hero Arts Color Layering Snowy Tree stamp set and dies for this card. I silver embossed the trees, die cut them and layered them in an oval. I also embossed the deer and layered him over a Lawn Fawn Stitched hillside snow bank. The background is a Cuttlebug snowflake dry embossed panel. Finally I wrapped some silver cord and a jingle bell around it and it was done!
Anne Marie Hile is our quest this week. Come by and visit and play along too!

Case this Sketch 246

Hey Friends, I stopping in real quick to blog these birthday cards I made for a few guys in my life! One I had to put in the mail this morning and of course it took way longer to make than I had imagined!

I took out this adorable Newton's Nook Cocktail Mix stamp and heat embossed in clear powder on water color paper. Then I brushed and blotted on some Distress ink with water following the Case this Sketch 246 sketch. Leigh did a good job designing this one!

The Cheers die comes with the coordinating dies for the cocktail glasses. I cut it with a matte gold CS and one layer of white CS underneath. I splatter gold paint all over.
Ta ta!

Inspired by all the little things 71

Hey there, Friends! Welcome to Inspired by all the little things #71. Yup, we're in Christmas mode. Have you started making Christmas cards? I have but I'm wayyyyyyy behind.

For this week's card I used my new Lawn Fawn Christmas Dreams stamp set and dies. I colored them with Copics and tried to keep a limited amount of colors to match the black, grey, red and white color scheme. I colored up all the pieces and laid them on a simple background of patterned paper to resemble a living room.

This week's guest is Colleen Foelker. Come join us, I know you have holiday cards to make! :)

Inspired by all the little things 69

Hi Friends! it's another week at Inspired by all the little Things. It's number 68 this week and we have a fun fall inspiration photo for you!

I chose to be inspired by the quilt and the fall colors. So much so, that I stitched my quilt squares together with machine stitching. :) I used to sew on all my cards but don't anymore.

I pulled out a SSS tag die and stamped a sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs, Sewn with Love with brown ink. I added a pair of wood veneer scissors and some brown bakers twine.

Our guest this week is Meredith MacRitchie . Come by and see the wonderful cards the design team gals and our guest have made. And join us too!

Inspired by all the little Things #68

Hey Friends, We have another pretty inspiration photo for you this week at Inspired by all the little Things! I love the blue of the dress and the pretty floral bouquet.

I started my card by inking up WPlus9 Southern Summer Florals 2 and die cutting them. The white embossed sentiment comes from Simon Says Stamp Floral Bliss set. I searched my 6x6 pads for a dusty blue to match the dress. This was as close as I could get, The grey wood grain is from the same pad. I die cut a scalloped border with Lawn Fawn dies. A gem brad from my stash anchors the natural twine bow.

I was happy to give this card to my daughter this past weekend to give to her friends for their wedding!

Our Guest this week is Sandy Mathis, please come join us this week, won't you?

Hey there Friends, It's time for Inspired by all the little Things 67.  We have a beautiful fall tablescape that you can interpret any way you wish!

I used some patterned paper with some of the colors from the photo, and also embossed some Lawn Fawn pumpkins in white on kraft card stock. I die cut some MFT leaf dies and a circle as well. My sentiment is Lawn Fawn too, stamp with brown ink. Some pink twine tied in a bow finished it off.

Inspired by all the little Things #66

Hi Friends, Welcome to Inspired by all the little Things #66! Isn't that flower beautiful in the inspiration photo?
I was inspired by the shape of the flower. The shape of my flowers from the Wplus9 Beautiful Bouquet-Mums set is similar but that's were the similarity ends. I went with a different pink tone using zig brush markers to color my image. I made this several weeks ago and thus the bright almost summer colors.
After heat embossing in white and coloring, I die cut the focal piece with the SSS Scalloped Border die. I then layered it over the polka dot paper and stamped the sentiment with SSS Thoughtful Messages. Sequins from a variety of manufacturers finish it off.
Anita in France is our guest this week, Stop on by and check out the inspiration! We'd love it if you added a card to the gallery. :)

Merry Monday 258

Hey Friends, I broke out my Prisma Pencils and colored up these cute critters from Avery Elle (Snow much fun). We are to use a penguin on our card for Merry Monday 258. I put together a simple mail-able card to start my stash of Holiday cards. I'm way behind!!
I hand drew the little snow banks and snow flakes, cut the panel out with Avery Elle borders dies and popped it up on foam tape. The background paper is from 6x6 Crate Paper Snow and Cocoa, set on a card base of PTI Aqua Mist Card Stock.
Gotta cut this short and I'm hoping I didn't miss the link-up deadline!
See you soon!

Inspired by all the little Things #65

Hi Friends, We've got challenge #65 for you this week at Inspired by all the little Things. The mushrooms and the forest inspired me to use my SSS Birch tree diecut and Lawn Fawn's Gleeful Gardens stamps and dies. This card was fun!

I diecut the background and sponged on distress ink in an ombre style, then splashed with water. I colored by images with Copics and adhered to the bottom, except for the cute bird. I stamped a sentiment from the set and tied on some Lawn Fawn natural and gold bakers twine.

Amanda Bodine is our guest.
Come join the team this week, won't you?

PS: My Mom came up for a visit in late august and has been in the hospital ever since. I've been absent from blogging except for these weekly posts. I hope to get back to some more card making soon.

Inspired by all the little Things #64

Hi Friends, Welcome to #64 of Inspired by all the little Things. I was a little bit challenged by the inspiration photo so I went pretty literal. I love the colors tho! I broke out my Lawn Fawn Jar stamps and dies to create the jars. I added copper embossing powder to look like the photo.
For the flowers I used Wplus9 stamps and dies, called Southern Summer Florals 2 for the flowers stamped with Momento Pear Tart. The background was ink-smooshed with Peacock Feathers distress ink. The sentiments are from SSS.

Our guest this week is Shannon Jaramillo. Being on this design team allows me to meet crafters I would not have known and I love that!
Come on over to the blog and see what else we're sharing this week!

Inspired by all the little Things #63

Hey Friends, We're baaaacck! Back from summer break and ready to share some inspiration with you. For #63 at Inspired by all the little things we have a pretty coral and mint photo.

I choose to pull out a Penny Black Floral set and stamped it with Hero Arts Cantelope and Mint ink. I stamped  the Simon Says Stamp sentiment (Thoughtful Messages) in Desert Sand.

Using Pebble's DIY Home patterned paper I put the card together and added gold enamel dots.
This week's guest is Bev Kastman Buenker. Hop on over to the blog and see what pretty inspiration Bev and the team have to share!

Aloha

Hi Friends, How are you? I have a card today that is for several challenges. I'm not done making summer cards yet and I'm not done with summer! I love it and don't want it to end.
Although I didn't use a Hibiscus flower on the my card, I have the colors from the inspiration and the overall tropical feel going on. My pineapple is Avery Elle colored with zigs. The sentiment is also Avery Elle, a word die cut with gold foil paper layered on top of 3 white die cut words for dimension.
The colors in the Color Throwdown were also used.
Thanks for stopping by!

Curtain Call and others

Hey Friends, I'm playing in some challenges today. When I saw the Curtain Call Challenge  Surf's Up inspiration photo I immediately thought of this Avery Elle Hello Chum stamp set because it had a surf board. I had two of these sharks colored up on my desk waiting to be used on a card.

So I colored a surf board to match. Not knowing what I was going to do with the shark and surf board, I looked and found Case this Sketch 231

Following Jennifer Mcguire's tutorial, I inked up a square block with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, sprayed it with water, put in face down on a piece of water color paper and set something heavy on it for a while. The result was this great inked square which was the base of my focal point.

I stamped the fishing rod and fish hook strategically on the square, and adhered my shark and surf board. A sentiment and waves stamp from the same set finished it off.
Thanks for visiting my blog!

SSS Wed. Challenge

Hi Friends, I'm playing for the Simon Says Stamp Wed. Challenge-Use plaid and Freshly Made Sketches, but I changed the square to a rectangle.

This week's sponsor at Simon Says Stamp is Lawn Fawn so I used this "Shellfish" stamp set and LF Plaid paper as well.

I'm also entering this card in LawnFawnatics #8 -Summertime Fun

If you have any questions about products used, please leave a comment.

The Challenge 91

Hey Friends, Just a quick post to share a card I made with some Simon Says Stamp products.

I used the July 2017 card kit for the paper. These Echo Park papers are fabulous. I sacrificed heavily to use this cute cool treats paper because on the back is the most beautiful aqua/mint stripe! I only have one piece! Boohoo.

I wanted to pair this paper with another SSS stamp, Ice Cream Dream to match. I quickly colored them and added glossy accents.

I have to make 4 birthday cards for some local card club friends and this "the challenge" sketch helped me make quick work for this card.

I hope to be back soon with a few more cards I made. Enjoy Summer!

Water you up to?

Hey Friends, I was playing with my new Simon Says Stamp July card kit today.

The bikini die is so cute! I cut my bikini out of Copic-friendly paper and colored it like a water melon.

The coat of glossy accents I put on it changed the color a bit. Before that the colors matched the patterned paper much better. I cut the banner shape with an Avery Elle die set, set some white eyelets and strung it with baker's twine. I can't wait to make some more cards with this kit.

It is raining here yet again! Hope to have some sun shine soon! (but I won't be wearing a bikini :o)
