Welcome Baby

Hi all, My neighbor had her baby girl last weekend so I jumped to create a card for her. She had her 2nd daughter and Lily Annabelle is adorable! No stamping on this one. I used a rub on by MSE for the sentiment and I die cut the cute little outfit with cricut cartridge New Arrival.
(Excuse the blurry photo, I edited the life right out of it and don't know how to fit it. boohoo)
I had a few challenges in mind for this including Flourishes Timeless Tuesday 166 which is a Bingo challenge. I used the Pink-Ribbon-Diecut line. Are these papers pretty? They are MME lost & found Market Street 6x6. I used some BG buttons, lace I got from a Flourishes 123 create kit, PTI twine and twill ribbon.

Here's some blurry close ups! lol

Flourishes

Hi all, Today I'm writing about a yummy little card where I used my favorite Flourishes stamp set, Cherry Blossoms. Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #165.
I pulled out all my creative stops with this one and tried to create something kinda shabby chic.

Shabby is usually not my style but I felt it would work well with the "feel" I wanted on this card and I am delighted with it. I pulled out my Tim Holtz edge thingy (the name escapes me) which i usually don't like. But when I sew next to it, I like it better!

Did you notice the little heart charm? So cute, I think it's Bead Landing brand. I dug out some MME paper with an Eiffel tower on it so I could play in this week's Papercraft Star challenge "French". I was planning on using a "Merci" sentiment but I have enough thank you cards in my stash so I went with the sentiment from the same stamp set mentioned above. It's a beautiful saying and can be appropriate for many different uses.
I just love the color combo and I'm getting a little better at shading with my copics. I have a long way to go though. Thanks for looking everyone. Have a great day!
Hugs, Kim

Guest Designer for Phindy's Place-Challenge 102

Hi all, Yippee! The nice Design Team Gals at Phindy's Place asked me to be Guest Designer for this week. I'm happy to do so since I think Phindy is a talented illustrator and I love to color her images. If you've never visited Phindy's Place digi stamp store, I encourage you to check it out!

This image is called "I love you a ton". I just love the sweet little elephant. The challenge this week is called Stitches/Square. This means to add stitching, real or faux and make your card square. Easy right? Besides the real machine stitching, my ribbon has stitching too. I used an older mojo monday sketch, since I almost never make a card without a sketch. I really enjoyed making this card. I got a few new copics in some very light colors and I just love the result.
I'm also entering this card in this week's icopic challenge #78, which is to use spring colors!

I hope you play along too, this week! Have a great weekend...
Kim

Phindys 100 & SFYTT-Apr.2012

Hi Bloggers, I'm back from vacation. Key West was fantastic! So nice and warm, sunny and fun. More on that later. I had to make a card for Phindy's Place 100th blog challenge. The challenge is Anything Goes with a Phindy Image.  I chose to use the image "comfort" to make an all-purpose card. I used MME paper which I embossed with a cuttlebug folder. The sentiment is from Sweet & Sassy.

Here's the inside, which is very versatile to have in my stash of cards.

I used this "sketch for you to try" for April.

Thanks for looking!
