TSG-Circles

Hi Crafty Friends, I got a chance to visit my craft room yesterday. Physical Therapy for my ankle is really cutting into my free time but it's helping.
I needed an encouragement card for a friend who lost her job so I looked thru my stamp sets and found this
great There She Goes set, Buckets of Love. (I think that's the name) It had a great sentiment so I inked it up. TSG is having a "circles" challenge this week so found a way to incorporate some with a doily cut and some polka dots.
I also used The Sweet Stop sketch for this week.
I've been hoarding this paper pad from Simple Stories but it's high time I use it. I thought the recipient would really like it.
Thanks for stopping by!
Kim

Penny Black-Betsy Bluebell

Hi Bloggers! Today I'm sharing a card that I made for my "Card Club". I belong to a club with a bunch of lovely ladies in central Connecticut. Our LSS started it but they are closing up shop so we are continuing it on our own.
Last Sunday we had a challenge to use the colors shown here (an older ColourQ Challenge) and a sketch challenge, origin unknown. I chose to use this Betsy Bluebell set from Penny Black. I colored her up with copics to match the colors but I forgot to use copic quality paper so the blending is not the best. I added some clouds from a TSG set.
After trimming a 5.25" square card base to size I added a mat and some 1" strips of Echo park paper. I stitched around the perimeter and inside square, added a ribbon and twine bow, some dew drops and a sentiment. I plan to give this to my Physical Therapist who has been helping me heal my ankle.

Below is a photo of the cards the other ladies in the group made.

Thanks for visiting today! Kim :)

Tuesday Throwdown 148-Sail Away

Hi there Friends, Welcome to Tuesday Throwdown 148-Sail Away! My Grafico is sponsoring us this week and has given us some nautical images to use! So if you play with us this week, the theme is Nautical.
I had fun breaking out my new Fancy Pants paper pad. Also new is the navy blue brads I picked up at Joanne's. They are from the "Oh Boy" collection, Basic Grey. I just love anything Nautical. Always have, even tho it's a trend right now. Love me some Navy Blue! Maybe because I grew up in the Air Force.
I used the most recent Deconstructed Sketch #101.

TT146-My Mother, My friend

It's time for the Tuesday Throwdown 146, sponsored by Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps and More. The theme is My Mother, My Friend so make a Mother's Day card and join us! I bet we Americans will all be making these this week if we haven't already. I chose this "Lily" image to use on my card.
I wanted to go out of my comfort zone and try a (semi) Clean and Simple card. Also it was time to try my new washi tape. I'm always slow to adapt to trends. Sometimes I don't know what to do with new products but I'm very happy with this. Hope my MIL likes it. :)

I printed the digital image on Copic X-press blend it paper, colored it with Copics and popped it up on foam tape. The polka dot paper is MME-Memorable. The washi tape is Queen & Co. The sentiment is Hero Arts. Cardstock is PTI. A few gems were added for sparkle. Sigh, if only all my cards could be done this fast! LOL.

Cara-SSS209

Hi Friends, I had a chance to get krafty today. I played with the The Sweet Stop Sketch 209 and some 6x6 Webster's Pages papers. I also inked up a "new to me" MFT A la mode stamp set.
Isn't she cute with those cute boat shoes? My daughter will love it. She loves boating and nautical things. I'm lovin this "Twinery" bakers twine and I used Bridget's from Bridgets Paper Blessings tying technique. ( Thanks Bridget). I replaced the scalloped element with the twine. The sentiment stamps is MFT also.
