Brrrrrrr.....Hi Bloggers! It's very cold in the N.E. of America, in case you haven't heard or don't live around these parts. Below is the view out one of my dining room windows between the blinds! What better way to spend a snow day off than in my warm craft room. I've even made a little tutorial today in case you've never seen how to use craft foam to make a shaker card. ( I bet you already know, just humor me!)
First I have to tell you that I'm playing in the
Flourishes FTTC 252 which is to make a shaker card. How fun! It's been a while since I've made one. And I've used the
Deconstructed Sketch 132 for the layout. Other challenge links will be below.
So, I got this Fun Foam at Michael's. It has a sticky back. You can click on the photos to make them bigger.
Just use 2 circles close in size to make rings Peel of the backing and stick one on top of the other if you want more room.
I used a piece of packaging for the acetate cover, which I also cut with spellbinder dies.
Then I made a card stock ring to put on top of the foam and acetate.
Put in your glitter, beads or what have you. Mine are iridescent flakes I got somewhere.
I used glossy accents to glue it together. Then made a fabulous card with adorable matching sled paper from Bo Bunny using Jenn's sketch. The winter image is, of course, Flourishes "Snow Days" and the sentiment is Flourishes too. Studio Calico snowflakes and The Twinery twine finish it off.
Glad you stopped by. Thanks for humoring me with the long post. KIM
