Inspired by all the little Things # 17

Hi all! It's Memorial Day weekend in the USA. We've got some unseasonably warm weather and it's perfect for a holiday. Feels like summer!

For this weeks Inspired by all the little Things #17 Challenge, I went with the spike-y looking  flowers in the inspiration photo along with the colors.

I heat embossed the Inkadinkado image (set is called "meadow") with white embossing powder on Ranger water color paper. I laid down a wash of clear water then dropped the darker colors close to the images. Those colors were Picked Raspberry and Seedless Perserves Distress inks. Then I added Milled Lavender and Spun Sugar in the outer wet edges and let them do their beautiful spreading magic. To help the spreading process along, I spritzed clean water from a mini mister. For me, this is key to getting the look I want. Then let AIR DRY.

The rest is obvious, white heat embossed Hero Arts sentiment on a piece of heavy weight torn vellum, a couple of punched butterflies adorned with PPP sparkling clear sequins adhered to a dusty green mat and white card base. No foam tape for easy mailing.

Thanks for visiting and please come play with us this week!

A Birdie told me...

Hey Friends, I'm finally get a chance to blog my daughter's birthday card. Oh gosh, how tweet is this Avery Elle stamp set? It's called Tweet Tweet. I adore these cute birdies!

I hope this is CAS enough for the AAA Cards 2nd Birthday Bash. ( I really get stumped with clean and simple) I'm also playing in Seize the Birthday challenge with "toppings" of "Dimension".

My birds are sitting on foam tape and the enamel dots add dimension as well. I Copic-colored the sweet birds and paper pieced the roof. For the circle, a simple circle sponged with Squeezed Lemonade distress ink and a piece of twine wrapped around and Done!
Thanks for Visiting.

Lawnscaping meets Merry Monday

(Please scroll down for my Inspired by the little things card)

Hey there, I combined two challenges today that I LOVE to play in. I haven't played in so long and I missed it. I combined Merry Monday Christmas card challenge # 205 Make a snow globe with Lawnscaping #130 Sparkle it up

Last year when I bought a bazillion dollars worth of Lawn Fawn, I swore I'd play in every challenge so I'd use the stamps and Merry Monday, I've been playing for years and now I'm behind with Christmas cards. Gotta get to it!

I used LF Snow Day stamp set, Bannerific from LF and a greeting from Hero arts. I used Lawn Fawn papers, Momento inks and Copics. I have a make-shift snow globe cut with MFT stitched circle dies for the frame, cut 4 times and layered. My sparkle comes from Pretty Pink Posh iridescent hearts and of course, sparkling clear sequins. Oh, the bunnies are properly winked as well.

Oh what fun this was to build the scene. Thanks for visiting! Kim

Inspired by all the little Things #16

Hi Friends, Yah, it's the weekend! I'm sharing this weeks Inspired by all the little Things #16 challenge card. I picked up this cute Simon Says Stamp "Beautiful Ride" stamp last week. It was so fun to Copic color the kitty and accessories for this fun bicycle.

I water colored the Ranger water color paper with Tumble Glass, Peacock Feathers and another blue Distress Inks. The card stock is Papertrey Ink and twine is The Twinery.

I hope you come play with us this week. There's lots of ways to interpret this fun photo.

Inspired by all the little Things #15

Hey there! Spring was here for a few days but wet cool weather is coming back for the weekend. Blah. I'm sharing my Inspired by all the little Things #15 Challenge card with you today.
I love the graphic but I had a hard time with this one. The back of my sponged panel has some experimenting with water coloring through the triangle stencil with distress inks. Not great, so I tried sponging the inks instead. I had more control but still not happy.
I used SSS Birthday Balloon stamp set with Kristina Werner's beautiful handwriting for the sentiment, heat embossed in white. Then I added some SSS feather die cuts and Doodlebug yellow variety sequins to my shaker card.
Please go see what the rest of the design team came up with. They are all super duper!
Thanks for visiting

Inspired by all the little Things #14

Hi Friends, How are you? I'm sharing my Inspired by all the little Things #14 challenge card. I love baby cards, how about you? My company's accountant just had a baby boy and my daughter's friend is about to have a baby, boy or girl we don't know, so this will come in handy!
I just love this little airplane image which is Retired Flourishes. (if you like Marcella Hawley's
 illustrations, visit Power Poppy here).

The sentiment stamp set is called Baby by Simon Says Stamp and the cloud embossing folder is Darice. I sponged the clouds with Momento Summer Sky dye ink and cut the circle with my favorite circle dies, MFT Stitched Circles. The sequins are Doodlebug, twine is from The Twinery.

I had to do this card over twice and I had to sponge the cloud circle FIVE times to get them right. Haha.
I used The Challenge #71 Sketch and will link up that and a few other challenges. Thanks for visiting today!

To all the Moms out there, whether you live in the US or not, have a great Sunday, my friends. :)
