KK Challenge 148

Hi all, how's your Saturday going? I'm well but unfortunately I have to say farewell to the Kraftin Kimmie DT and Kimmie herself. I have had a wonderful month being Guest Designer for Kraftin Kimmie and have learned alot. (and made great friends, too!!!)

With all the images that I had the pleasure of coloring this month, I feel my coloring skills have improved which is a great perk! This little cutie is Gabrielle and although she's not a birthday image per-se, I used her for my birthday card here. Hope my SIL likes it!

TSG174 and Fall Challenges

Hi Bloggy Friends, Time for me to get inky with some Fall stamps. This "There she Goes" stamps set has been sitting around waiting for me to use it. What a great couple of sets, Buckets of Love and the Buckets of Love Holiday Additions.

The Copic gods were smiling on me last night when coloring this. I'm pretty happy with it. And this sketch made putting the card together a breeze! I used Echo Park's Walk in the Park paper and some Kraft CS. I also cut my image out with some Spellbinder Rectangles and Scalloped Rectangles. To finish it off, some seam binding, a button, a leaf-shaped pin and twine were added.
Now I feel that Fall has arrived now that I made a fall card! Just have to pull out my Fall home decor stuff. :)

Color Throwdown.Niece's New Home Card

Hi Bloggers, I made a card for my Niece who just bought her first home. I used the current Color Throwdown 210 for this. I just love this Echo Park This and That paper pad. I'm surprised how much I reach for it lately!

I also used a cute Kraftin Kimmie Stamp called Bug Buddies 2 which I just received in the mail. I will enter it as a second submission to the Fall Colors challenge on the KK blog.  I already had one as a guest designer. The only reason I'm linking it up is that that more people see it!
I made up the design and didn't use a sketch. Hope you enjoyed looking!!!

PCS -Star Challenge

Hi Friends, I'm playing along in Papercraft Star's Challenge this week to add a star or stars to you card. I have some serious paper love for this Bo Bunny paper! I also know someone who's gonna have a boy in a few months so this goes in my stash for her.
The little rocket stamp is Stampin Up. I masked off the the little sentiment that said "have a blast" cuz it wasn't a baby sentiment. I colored the rocket twice and popped up one layer. I used a rub on for the sentiment. The sketch is an older Mojo Monday from this year. A Verve tag die was used and tied with bakers twine.

Kraftin Kimmie Challenge Fall Colors

Hi bloggers, time for another challenge at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps! This week's challenge is Fall Colors. I chose sweet Natsuko and dressed her up in Basic Grey's Konnichiwa line. I know it has a some pink and blue mixed in with the browns and oranges but it's so cute!!! A beautiful Prima flower gives it an Autumn feel.
I'm not too happy with the stickles on the lantern, they must be distress stickles cuz they are not sparkle-y AT ALL. I used an embossing folder on the background paper but the name escapes me at the moment.

Rosh Hashanah Card

Hi Friends, I have some loved ones who celebrate Rosh Hashanah so I made them a card. I wanted to play with my new MFT birdcage die set so I set out to look thru my papers for something to work with and settled on this pretty Kaisercraft paper. I used last week's Mojo Monday sketch and some pretty PTI Card Stock and ribbon.
The stamp set is from Michaels, name unknown but it has sentiments for all the year's holidays. I used 2 dew drop inks, a light aqua and a darker one. Button and flowers are from my stash. The card's a bit girlie but my MIL won't mind. :)
This card will be submitted to some challenges. First, Papercraft Star's challenge is to use a birdcage. Creative Paper Trade's very first challenge is a pretty pastel palette. Ribbon Girl's challenge is Pink and Green. Paper Play Time's challenge is to use punches and a sentiment.

So girlies, I'm thrilled to be sharing my Annie card today! Isn't this a cute sketch? I have been saving those little cookie cutter findings since last Christmas! My heart shaped sentiment is supposed to be a xmas cookie! And I just got these cute heart shaped spellbinder dies. :)  I know my paper peicing looks one dimensional in the photo but it isn't. It's a cute tone on tone plaid with copic shading! Thanks for stopping by today!

Oh, this cute little Kitten is my favorite!!!! I decided to make up this card with these cute non-traditional colors. I added some ribbon, twine, button and punched branches. Do you recognize the sketch? It's this month's Sketch for you to Try.

Trinket.Day 1

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!! Well....not if you look outside. But it is at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps !! Get ready for our HOLIDAY 2012 RELEASE!!!!! We are kicking off the *New* September Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps previews today and first off, we’d like to introduce you to a beautiful new set of Trinkets!!! We are very excited to share with you our….HOLIDAY TRINKETS!!!

These circular sentiment stamps have been created and designed by the totally talented Krafty Girl, Nicole Aspinall!! They are made especially to fit in your 1 3/8ths and 1 ¾ inch punches, for quick and easy cutting!!! This month we are releasing the HOLIDAY Trinkets set which includes EIGHT trinkets in each set with four of each size and they come as both positive and negative images, so you can use your black or brown ink with the positive stamps and use your coloured inks with the negative ones!! You will get the set as a completely unmounted full sheet of deeply etched grey rubber.

A lot of the Krafty Girls are cardmakers and we have found these to be such a quick and easy way to add a sentiment to our creations or to use as the focal point on your cards! They are also perfect for your Smashbook pages and your scrapbook pages, not to mention your altered items and tags!! What a great way to make a bunch of gift tags for all those presents under the tree!! No stamper's stash is complete without them!

And away we go!!!!! Imagine my delight when I discovered that Kraftin Kimmie Trinket stamps fit PERFECTLY inside this Spellbinder Die Fancy Tags 3!!! So tickled!! It took me several tries before I settled on a color choice. I tried distress ink, copic coloring, two tone, all kinds of things and decided that with this paper from MME Lost and Found Christmas I would just keep it simple. I added a bit of stenciled green ink while still in the die and stamped the trinket in a Cat Eye Burgandy.
Other than that, I just stitched around the perimeter, folded the corner over, added a button and twine, and a couple brads. Easy peasy! Now see what the other girls have created!

KK.Paper.piecing.challenge

 

Hi all...It's Kraftin Kimmie Challenge time and this week's challenge is "paper piecing". You all know how to do that so why don't you join us? I paper pieced Lavender the Quilter's cute quilt with some great Authentique Glory papers that already have quilting images on them! Fun! This is also my tribute to the September 11th tragedy with the Red, White and Blue theme. God bless America.

I enjoyed coloring Lavender and her little pin cushion. I added cute tiny pearls for the pin heads and paper-pieced the cushion part. Do you like how I sewed through the sentiment to attach it to the card? I wasn't sure about it but then I said hey, why not!

Girly card for Irene

Hi Bloggers, I am happy to get to play this week in a bunch of challenges that I have been missing for weeks. One of them is Papercraft Star's "Girly Challenge" this week. I love their weekly challenges because of the broad categories that don't limit a person too much! I have been wanting to make my friend's neighbor a card for weeks. She just had a bilateral mastectomy. ugh, poor thing. I'm hoping this card will bring a smile to her with the cute Penny Black image of the Kitty hanging in a Bra. "Uplifting Occasion" . I used some MME paper and colored with Copics, of course. The flowers are Recollections and the velvet trim is " i don't know" hehe.

This card fits the Oldie but Goodie recipe challenge which is One image, 2 DS Papers and 3 Flowers. My old item is that pink rose which I've had for 2 years.  It also fits the Pink Elephant challenge Patterned paper. Papertake weekly is Anything Goes this week.

KK.Kraft.Challenge

Hello fellow crafters! The day has come for me to start celebrating and sharing my cards as Guest Designer for Kraftin Kimmie Stamps! Gosh, I have been creating my fingers off and haven't been able to share anything. Join me all September long for weekly challenges and a great release week starting Sept. 12th.
