CR84FN69

Hi there, At first I was stumped with this color palette but then it came together ok. I rather like how it came out. It will be for my stash, for the next woman in family with a birthday.

I used the Zinnia stamp set from Flourishes. I'm glad I got a chance to ink it up finally. It's so fun to color flowers with copics, lots of opportunities for shading.
The paper is K&Co. It's a pretty 12x12 paper pack that has all tone on tone prints, don't know the name right now, but it looks like beautiful fabrics. I won this spellbinder die set from some blog candy. Thanks Kristi! A MS butterfly punch, some ribbon, recollections bling and a BG button finish it off.
I dread going back to work after my restful vacation but I must! Gotta fund my crafting addiction, right!
Happy New Year!

SSS191

Hey Friends, I'm so enjoying my vacation. I am making cards everyday and loving it. So, I tried to color African American skin. Did I do it right? This is for a young girl who spent Christmas in the hospital. Poor girl. She was very sick but doing better now.

I used The Sweet Stop sketch 191 challenge for the sketch. The stamp is, of course, Pure Innocence, MFT, Fancy Pants paper, doodletwine, gems. The flowers have stickles but it wasn't captured very well in the photo.

Let it snow

Hey Bloggers, It's almost New Years Eve! Actually not one of my favorite holidays because I don't like to stay up late. I am going to a neighbor's house party so I may leave before midnight. They know me and will expect me to go to bed!
This card is for them. The "Let it snow" sentiment is because our neighbors, my hubby and I just bought snow mobiles. We got a little snow yesterday and are supposed to get another 3-6 inches tomorrow.
I used a TSG sketch from a few week's ago and had a few challenges in mind for this card. I'll be submitting this for the Papercraft Star "Snow" challenge. Also for the Sentimental Sunday challenge-Focus on the Sentiment. Edit-Added this link-TSG-Last minute Christmas  Raise the BAR-Snow

MFT

Hi Friends, Happy 3 days after Christmas. I'm on vacation from work until Jan.2 and I am so thrilled to be relaxing and having time to craft!!
My husband's cousin and his wife have been having some medical problems lately so I whipped up this card for them. I've had this cute image colored up for months waiting to be made into a card. She is a Heather Ellis digi stamps. The sentiment is from another MFT stamp set, the one with the PI girl with the umbrella.
I used the current MFT sketch. The paper in from Echo Park, the card stock is PTI. Dies are spellbinders.

Headed to Newtown,CT

Hi friends, I used the Deconstructed Sketch to make this card, I colored up the image but it took me a while to make it into a card. The whole Newton tradegy really made me sad and although I wanted to send a card, I had a hard time finishing it. I'll bet they will receive thousands.
Anywho, the stamp is Kraftin Kimmie, I believe the paper is Echo Park, Cardstock and button is PTI. Sentiment is Hero Arts, I used Doodle Twine baker's twine and Martha Stewart Punch.
Thanks for visiting.

TT126 & DT Call

Hi Everyone, Are you all busy with the holidays? I am. Still making Christmas/Holiday cards tho. I wanted to play in the Tues. Throwndown Challenge named "White Christmas" so I inked up the fantastic Flourishes Ice Skate stamp. I kept the layout simple and mostly white and as you can see, just added a gingham bow and rhinestones. I'm getting this just under the wire for the challenge.

I would love to be a design team member so please consider me, Tues. Throwdown!
Thanks, Kim :)

Last week's mojo 269

Hi Peeps, I missed every darn challenge deadline last week that I made this for! It's Mojo 269. I just left off the little fishtail element because it didn't fit right and added some MFT die cut stars. It was for my Son-in-law's birthday. I used Simple Stories Birthday Line. Boy, is it distressed. Too distressed for my taste but it makes a good masuline card. The stamp is from Flourishes. The bling is recollections. As you can see in the next photo, it is an easel card. Three challenge blogs had easel cards last week!
I embossed the green paper with the birthday words cuttlebug folder and sanded it. A spellbinder die frames the focal point sentiment.

I rather liked it after it was done and my daughter and her husband loved it. They thought I was so clever that it is an easel! Must do more of these, they are great to put on a shelf, mantel or desk to remind the birthday boy or girl of their special day.
Tootles!

December Daily Cover

Hi there! Since I don't have a card to play in the Papercraft Star weekly challenge-Holiday Greenery- this week, I thought I'd share my December Daily mini album cover. It has Holiday Greenery! The greenery and Poinsettias are Prima. I think the ribbon is Kaisercraft, lace is Melissa Frances.
The small pom-pom trim, bells and brad is from my stash. The paper and stickers are Simple Stories.

I decided to give a Dec. Daily a whirl. I know I'm doing it different than most. Mine will be more of a mini album. The pages are made with envelopes. Now that I see how others are doing it I wish I had purchased the album with clear page protectors ( like project life only smaller). But it's OK, this is totally an experiment to see if I can actually keep up!
I'll share more pages as I go. Wish me luck!

Shouting it from the roof tops!!!

Hi there Friends! I can finally, officially share my PUBLISHED card with you!

I think it was May when I got notified that one of my cards would be in the November 2012 issue of CARDS! That was a happy day for me. Now that December 1st is here, I can share it.

If it weren't for playing in weekly challenges, this card would have never come to be. I combined two challenges. One was Papercraft Star's "French" challenge and Flourishes "Favorite" challenge. I used Flourishes Cherry Blossom stamp set and added MME paper with an Eiffel Tower on it for the French part.
Cards Magazine had a call for cards with "Quotes" on it. That's why they chose it. I'm surprised they did because at the time I didn't notice that they rarely pick up a Copic marker-colored card.
But they did, YIPPEE!!!!

So here it is, in all its glory! I hope there will be others.....
