Emboss Resist Engagement
Hi bloggers, I needed to make an emboss resist card for a challenge at my local card club recently. I used Momento dye inks instead of distress inks because I heard that it would work similarly, that they could be used with water. I worked pretty good but I like distress inks better.
Since I went with pastels colors, without a plan, just because I liked them, I was stumped as to what to do with the finished piece. Then I remembered I needed an engagement card for my Boss's daughter. I heat embossed a MFT Butterfly with white and die cut it and embossed a Waltzingmouse sentiment with Silver EP, both on vellum. I used a SU doily stamp for the background. The purple card stock matches the card much better than pictured IRL. I added a few white and clear sequins to finish it off.
I think the feel of my card ended up classy and elegant in style yet simple because of the lack of layers.
I'm entering in the following challenges.
