MM 156

Hey there, peeps, It's a new week and a new Merry Monday challenge. This time we are to use Pine cones, greens and the word Believe. I chose to look though my Simple Stories ephemera pack for the word Believe. Good thing I found one because I only have one tiny word stamp that says believe. It wouldn't have worked.

For the Pine cones and greens I used my new Whimsy Pine cone die that they sent me for free when I ordered another Whimsy set. I hope you can see it, it's kind of covered up. My photo is a bit blurry, sorry. For the rest of the card I used some more Simple Stories patterned paper, a 2x3 card, the red paper is K&Co, the button is SU with May Arts twine.

CTS120

Hi Friends, I'm sharing a card for Case this Sketch 120 challenge. I haven't had this much fun making a card in months. Ignoring that fact that it is a sympathy card and focusing on the techniques was very satisfying.

I followed the sketch very closely. I used the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Urban Grunge stamp set to stamp and emboss the bird with gold embossing powder on Ranger Distress Water color paper. I water colored with Tattered Rose, Scattered Straw and Tattered Rose Distress inks (love this combo) and stamped the cursive stamp over it with vintage photo ink. Lastly I stamped the sentiment stamp (maker unknown) with Black Versafine ink using a stamp-a-ma-jig to place the wood mounted stamp perfectly. A Lil Inker Stitched Rectangle die and a few SC white/clear sequins finish it off.

CARD 2

And now for another card I made this weekend. I thought I was using a current sketch from Retro Sketches but turns out that was weeks ago. Haha, figures!
This was easy enough thanks to my SSS balloon dies and a SSS birthday stamp set. I hadn't used this largest die which is just about the size of an A2 card. I only used half, of course. The design paper (maybe MME) is cute and modern. I like it with the matching grid paper. Simple and cute with with black ink and twine.

LawnFawn Challenge 104

Hey Peeps, Oh Gosh, this set is soooo cute! I couldn't resit picking it up. I am quickly becoming a huge Lawn Fawn fan. Nicole Magouirk makes it look so easy to use these adorable stamps. I followed the Lawnscaping 104 Sketch Challenge and boy, did I have a heck of a time trying to make my colored images fit this sketch. You should see the back (or maybe you shouldn't!).

This turned out to be a window card but not a shaker. I persevered but this almost ending up in the circular file. I found a way to salvage it because I spent a lot of time coloring this cute critters.

Anyway, The images are colored with Copics, die cut with coordinating dies and laid out on a hillside die cut scene.  The paper is Echo Park Spots and Dots. I cut the top layer with SB dies. I added a twine bow and called it done after hours of work over several days. Hahaha Can't wait to color that sweet dragon again.

MM & Newton's Nook

Hi Friends, I'm posting my card for Merry Monday 155 -Use a Cat or Dog! I used a Newton's Nook kitty stamp from my prize pack I won. I colored him like my kitty who is no longer with us. I used some scraps and a sketch from the Inky Paws Challenge #20 and used up some MME scraps. Some twine and Doodlebug sequins finish it off.

Sparkle & Shine w/Winnie & Walter

Hi Peeps, Here's my card for the Sparkle and Shine Challenge Four ( a sketch challenge) sponsored by Winnie and Walter. I just won a fabulous prize package from Cupcake Inspirations 300th Celebration recently. Just about everything on this card is from the prizes including the stamp set, Sugar Rush and the Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

I still have practice work to do on my water colored backgrounds. I used distress ink smooshed on a Ranger mat, spritzed with water. I put my water color paper face down on it, dried it and dipped some more. For the cupcake frosting, I dipped a brush into the water spritzed ink and dropped it into the gold heat embossed swirls. My photo doesn't show how the shiny gold EP looks, which is very pretty!
I'm loving my new stamps and dies I won!

Vintage Xmas Card

Hi Friends, I have my Merry Monday Challenge 154 to share today. The challenge is to make a vintage card. This is my take on it. I case THIS CARD from Pinterest.

The only stamp I used was a Hero Arts Joy stamp. The rest is die cuts, punches, silk leaves and buttons. Gold ribbon and twine was also used for an overall collage-y feel. I had funny playing with Fantage embossing powder as well.
Here is a close up of the cluster!

Work less, Fish more!

Hey there friends, my fishing-loving Nephew had a birthday this week. I bought this cute Wplus9 stamp set "Fish More" and dies for him and all the other men in my life. I needed a set like this. Of course, I didn't use a lot of the stamps, just a few. The real star of this card is from Sandy Allnock's tutorial I found for this vest card. So super cute, have to make it again and again!

I used SU crumb cake CS and buttons, some brads, Antique Linen distress ink, a corner rounder and an oval die. A SB circle die was used just to trace the armholes on the back. You'll see if you watch the tutorial.

Pastels

Hi everyone! It's a glorious spring day today, kind of like my card. I wanted to play in the Power Poppy "Pop of Pastel" challenge this week so I printed my digital gladiolas image out and colored with Copics.

I used my new Echo Park Bundle of Joy Dots and Stripes paper. It has nice pastel colors in it. I followed the Sweet Sunday Sketch 263. Some May Arts twine and gems finish it off. Thanks for visiting today.

MM153

Hey there! Another Christmas card share today. Merry Monday Christmas Challenge 153 calls for an Angel or Cherub. This stamp is from Recollections embossed with gold embossing powder. The gold mat is DCWV glitter paper.

On top of that is navy card stock from Wplus9 embossed with a swirl EF. The angel piece is die cut with a Lil Inkers stitched rectangle die. The twine is American Crafts tied with a SU button. I followed the Freshly Made Sketches 181

Baby sheep card

Hi Friends, I have a baby card to share today. My main inspiration came from The Curtain Call Challenge called Beginnings but I missed linking it up. I started with the sheep from the inspiration photo, my sheep and grass is from Papertrey Ink.

Then I saw the Casology challenge Cue of "News" so I added the sentiment "baby has arrived" as the news! (baby stamp set from SSS). I hope my card is clean and simple enough for the challenge. The wonderful die cuts are from Wplus9.

MM152

Howdy Friends, I'm interrupting Easter Weekend for a Christmas card. I like playing at Merry Monday. Last year was the first time I had enough cards to mail because I was playing at Merry Monday throughout the year. So I'm doing it again this year.
Sooooooooooo...Here's Merry Monday Challenge 152, which is to use Lime, Turquoise and White. I used this cute snowman from Clearly Besotted/Simon Says Stamp. The tag die is SSS too. The background was sponged with a Hero Arts stencil using pear tart ink from Momento. The stitched rectangle is Lil Inkers. Card Stock is PTI, Sequins from SSS.
Well, back to preparing for a crowd on Sunday for dinner. Have a blessed weekend.

I used Sweet Sunday Sketch 262 to make my card. Hero Arts stamp set "Going" was used for the little punch buggy! I wanted to make a simple card that could be sent to just about anyone. The happy Birthday sentiment is from a new set I just won from Newton's Nook, Newton's Birthday Bash.

The car was colored with Copics. Don't ask me what I was thinking when I shaded this? It didn't come out right but that's OK! Echo Park paper, Studio Calico stars, Twinery Twine, MFT dies and Lifestyle Crafts EB folder were used.

Sketch Saturday

Hey Friends, how are you this April 1st? Are you the prankster type? I'm really not but I did a little prank on my hubby this morning. Haha I put tape on the bottom of his computer mouse so it wouldn't work! Harmless enough, he'll figure it out quickly I'm sure. LOL.
Today's card share was made with the Sketch Saturday 354 sketch. I need a bunch of birthday cards so I made this one while I had my SU Secret Garden stamps and dies out. I used my new Hero arts ink cubes in Garden (that's the name). Those 2 coral colors on the top 2 flowers are different but it doesn't show here. So pretty in person. Both sentiment stamps are MFT.

This card I cased from Pinterest. Here is link to her blog. I liked the layout and needed to make more birthday cards so I cased this one. It looked fast and simple but it wasn't. Still took me an hour, even with something to follow. This also uses SU Secret Garden. The HB is MFT.
See ya later, gators.
