Inspired by all the little Things #21

Hey Friends, It's going to be a beautiful summer weekend here in New England. I plan to spend my weekend in a place almost identical to the inspiration photo on my boat!

My card for Inspired by all the little Things #21 uses the pinks and blues and some flowers in water. I used a retired Marcella Hawley (Flourishes) image. Some thing similar can probably be found here at Power Poppy.com.

I colored the stamped image with Copics and set it on a MFT Stitched circle die. The tag and tiny stamp is Papertrey Ink tied on with some May Arts Twine.

I used Papercraft Crew Sketch 200. Image below.

Wink of Stella was liberally painted on the stamped image in order to be linked to Simon Says Stamp Wed. Challenge-Add some Shimmer!

Thanks for visiting and lets see what you come up with this week.

Inspired by all the little Things #20

Hi Friends, Today I have a card focusing (ha, get it? snort!) on cameras! It's for this week's Inspired by all the little Things Challenge #20.

I don't have a camera stamp and I didn't go with the color turquoise like the inspiration photo but I had Simple Stories patterned paper with cameras that I used for the background. Then I used some vellum cut with a Wplus9 die to tone down the pattern. My circle shaker looks like a lens, right? I used a SSS stitched circle die, more simple stories paper and beautiful PPP sequins. The sentiment is from SSS reason to smile stamp set.

Tell me, Friends, what kind of occasion does this sentiment work for? I'm kinda stumped?

Come play with us this week, won't you? Thanks for visiting!

Lawnscaping Challenge -Off Kilter

Hi Friends, Today I have a card for the Lawnscaping Challenge Off Kilter #131 Challenge. We are to make something askew, off kilter or tilted on our card. I tilted my background panels for this one and added a cute Flamingo!
Using orange paper was a bad choice for the background of the photo because you can't really see the card well. Opps. Can't redo the photo because this card was quickly given to a sweet young woman battling breast cancer, my Boss's daughter.

This is a new set from Lawn Fawn from the last release. The inside has another flamingo and uses another sentiment from the set "I'll stand by you".

I searched Pinterest for a sketch with something off kilter and found this Freshly Made Sketch (below) and used as my starting point. I cut a few stitched rectangle panels with Lil Inkers dies then set about creating a tiny little scene within my MFT circle. I Copic colored the sand and Flamingo and stamped the palm trees. I added a few enamel dots from various packs and called it done.

I am linking up to another challenge as well.

Inspired by all the little Things #19

Hi Friends, Jeanne chose a gorgeous water color photo with purples and greens to inspire us this week at Inspired by all the little Things #19. I had an older wood mounted Inkadinkado Hydrangea stamp hidden in my stash so I dug it out for this card. (Love using older supplies so not to waste the money I spent!)

I stamped the images on water color paper with distress inks and lightly spritzed them to let the ink run slightly. If you put too much water the flowers turn into blobs! Hahaha.

I then die cut the paper into a tag with SSS tag dies. I die cut a SSS hello die from black card stock and black fun foam intending to layer them but I ended up just using the foam cut. It looks cool and different for a change. I mounted the tag on a piece of grey patterned paper and added twine and sequins.

I hope you play along with us this week! Thanks for visiting!

Inspired by all the little things #18

Hey there friends, Thanks for visiting and taking a peek at my card for Inspired by all the little Things #18. I love these colors and the pretty photo inspiration. If I could have a wedding do over, I'd pick these colors!

I started with Wplus9 Stamps Beautiful Bouquet: Ranunculus water colored with many Distress Inks on Strathmore Bristol paper. I then cut it on a diagonal but fussy cut the shapes above the diagonal line. I dry embossed a separate navy card stock mat and mounted the piece with black craft foam on a navy card base.

I tucked a piece of doily under the diagonal line, tied a piece of gold twine around with a bow and added gold sequins. A Hero Arts sentiment was heat embossed with detail gold embossing power before adhering it all together.

This is a fun one, why don't you join us this week?
