Flutterby TCC119

Hey Friends, I was very inspired by the Card Concept 119 inspiration photo this time. I decided to make a mixed media vintage card. I took out my MFT Butterfly wishes stamp set (maybe retired) and inked up the butterflies by stamping each in two shades of ink. I touched them up with some colored pencils. I then sponged around the edges with Antique Linen distress ink and splatter some gold spray and white paint on top.

Using sketch 339 from Case this sketch I diecut and vellum square and gold heat embossed the sentiment. Deviating somewhat from the sketch I placed a punched butterfly and gold thread in the right corner and added some gold bling. The photo does not capture this as pretty as it is in person.

Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Kim, this is perfect for our challenge! Love the use of the butterfly stamps for the background as well as the vellum layer (so you do not hide all of the gorgeous butterflies). Great job, sweet friend and we are so thrilled you could join us at The Card Concept!
