Happy Father's Day

Hi all, This is my FIL card for today. The family is coming over for a cookout later, this will be for him.

My dear Father is in his finally resting place and I am thinking of him today.
My husband is a great father to our 2 daughters, I have a card for him. I will post later.

I cased Betsy Veldman's card, just made a simpler version and used the new nautical collection of paper from SU. It's so nice for masculine cards. The photo below is of the page from one of the Papercrafts Magazine. Don't have time to go see which one. I have to go get ready for company to come over. I used the inside too. Phindy's Sketch#58

 Hi All, Here is my take on the lastest Phindy's sketch challenge#58. Don't ya just love pink and black? I never get sick of it. I used a Pink Cat Studio image for this card. It's called Diva poodle.  So cute. I could see myself making duplicates of this card with Black/White and Turq., lime green, purple!
The pink background I used detracts from the card somewhat and makes the photo look cluttered! Oh well.

Here's my card from Phindy's #57 Challenge. I missed the deadline, AGAIN! The challenge was summer and what says summer like strawberries! This is such a cute Phindy image with the little mouse! And I love the Basic Grey Nook & Pantry 6x6 paper too. I struggled with a sketch challenge for this and ended up giving up and just finishing it to "Get her Done!"

Hi all, My nephew is graduating from High School so I wanted to get a jump start on his card to have ready. Don't want to be scrambling at the last minute! His school colors are Black and Orange otherwise I would NOT have picked this color scheme! Looks pretty nice IRL tho.
I used this week's mojo monday sketch and my new Flourishes graduation stamp set. I wanted a mature set instead of cutesy, even though I really like cutesy. ( no consistency here, actually still trying to find my style!)
I used a dictionary page that I got in a class last year during the NH papercrafts convention, the The sentiment is from the same set. Below is the inside with more stamps from the set.  Paper is PTI, the rest is self explanitory. Hope your having a nice weekend. Ta ta for now! Kim

Friend.Card

Hi Blog friends, I was inspired by Mona's CR84FN color challenge this week. I always want to play, every week, but can't always fit it in to my schedule. So many challenges, so little time!

The Pure Innocence image is a digi from Heather Ellis' site.

I used a MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge sketch. I missed the deadline but that's ok, I really enjoyed making it. I used OA papers (I think) ____ Homemaker. A crocheted flower, flat back beads, BG button, PTI twine, Verve sentiment stamp.

Hi, Hope all the mother's are having a good day. I know I am! No sketch or color challenge for this card. Just playing with some BG Nook & Pantry papers, a MSE rub on, a doily, buttons and a die cut apron! (Cricut FMK). BuBye!

Hi, how cute is Cheeky Howdy from The Greeting Farm? So cute. I bought this stamp especially for a card for my DD. She loves country music (cowgirl boots), she has reddish hair and often wears it in braids and the jean shorts are so her! Cara also loves the color orange and is a fan of cute-sy images. Does she sound like she's 10 years old? Nope, she'll be 27 next week! Sorry Cara. I hope she likes this card, I'm sure she will. It makes my day if she says aaaaawwwww when i give her a card. Happy Birthday, sweetie pie.

Hi all, so glad spring is here, although we've only had a little warm weather so far. Lots of occasions coming up for me and my family. The biggest one is my 30th wedding anniversary next week! Stay tuned to see what we do to celebrate. On to the card...
