Watercolor Birthday Card

Hi Friends, I tried some water coloring! Sort of. I didn't use a brush except to add a little extra color to the flowers but the majority of this was done by smushing some TH distress ink pads onto a TH craft mat, spraying it with water and laying the TH watercolor paper front side down onto it.

First of course, I heat embossing this Stampedous flower image with navy embossing powder by Hampton Arts. I was inspired by Kristina Werner's video HERE. Water coloring sure is fun! I bought some Stampin Up aqua painter brushes so I could do some controlled water coloring next time.

I pierced the image piece with a piercer tool and layered it on a Navy SB scalloped rectangle. I know, it looks black. Following Sweet Sunday Sketch 209 I prepared the base with card stock and Basic Grey's Fresh Cut paper. You'll be see a lot more of it, it's so pretty! Lastly I cut a MFT tab and inked a Verve birthday sentiment in pink ink, not sure which one and added some MME enamel dots.
