Inspired by all the little Things 37

Hey friends, welcome to week 37 at Inspired by all the little things challenge! It's the last challenge of the year. We'll be back in January.

Weeks ago I had borrowed my friends Stampin Up house stamp set and heat embossed the houses in white powder on kraft. I die cut a circle to make a snow globe. The bottom part is half of a die cut label, which I stamped with a Simon Says Stamp sentiment.

I realize my paper choices aren't the best. I had this card mostly done and had a mishap and had to start over with different papers.

Our guest is Natalie Murdock this week and the rest of the team have some super cards to share.
Come play with us!

Thanks for visiting.

Inspired by all the little Things #36

Hey Friends, I love this Christmas Truck image this week at Inspired by all the little Things.

I chose to make my Stampendous Truck of Gifts stamped image green instead of red. I just colored it with Copics and cut it out.

I matted it on some Plaid Lawn Fawn paper and then onto Green Card Stock. Easy Peasy! I added some wink of Stella clear glitter pen on the tree branches. The sentiment is Hero Arts I believe.

Anita Madden is our guest this week. Come on over to the blog and see what the team created!
Thanks for stopping by.

Inspired by all the little Things #35

Hey Friends, It's holiday time, can you believe it? I can't! I have a clean and layered card for you today using the fabulous inspiration from Inspired by all the little Things #35

I love snowmen and I was a little tired of my collection so I bought a digital stamp from "From the Heart Stamps" called Snowman and Holly Chicks.I colored him with Copics and added white gel pen polka dots to his hat just like the photo.

The rest of the card is simply some Echo Park paper layered up with the colored image. I added some MFT die cut snowflakes and some ribbon. My grandson was visiting when I was finishing this and I got distracted and forgot a sentiment! Maybe I can add it later. :)

I hope you are inspired by the photo and come join us this week.
Silke Ledlow is our guest this week. The design team has some great inspiration for you too!

Inspired by all the little Things 34

Hey friends, thanks for visiting my blog today to see Inspired by all the little things, challenge 34.
This week we have a great holiday photo inspiration for you.

For my card I made a chalkboard style focal point. I used a Stampin Up stamp embossed in white on black card stock and sponged with white ink. I cut the square with SB dies.

I used some Simon says Stamp ornament dies to die cut the ornaments and tied them with twine. Gold sequins were added for a bit of sparkle.

Joyce Mehrberg is our guest this week and the design team has made some beautiful cards so come visit and link up a card too!
Take care!

Inspired by all the little Things 33

Hello, Hello! How are you this week? You need to come join us for Inspired by all the little Things #33. We've got fun trees for you to interpret any way you wish!
I tried a few things with this Hero Arts stamp set that didn't work out. I stamped the trees in the greens and pinks like the inspiration photo but wasn't feeling it so I heat embossed a single tree is white powder and decorated it with pearls and gems.

I die cut it with SB Classic ovals and scalloped ovals and set it on my prepared card base. The little tag is from Avery Elle here. I was going to go with softer pinks and greens for the patterned paper but this paper just popped. I'll have to add the name of it later, my mind is blank! Hahaha.

Check out our guest Myra Webb and the other design team members' cards at the link above!

Thanks.

Merry Monday 222

Hey there Friends! Because I love the Merry Monday Christmas challenge and played with them for years, I had to make a card last night for Challenge #222

The graphic photo is so cute and uses gray, red and white. I had pulled out this older Imaginese mitten stamp set last week so that I could use it sometime during the holiday season. I heat embossed it with white powder on red card stock and added a baker's twine string.

I used an MFT Sketch #306 which can be found here. I stamped SSS snowflakes in SU gray ink in a piece of SSS card stock (might be Fog) and added PPP Sparkling clear sequins to the centers.

I dry embossed a white panel of white CS with a swirl embossing folder and layered a piece of red CS with a Hero Arts sentiment.

I should have used my MISTI to stamp the snowflakes to get a better impression. Oh well!

Thanks for visiting today.

Inspired by all the little Things #32

Hey Friends, Welcome to another week at Inspired by all the little Things! I love the skis on the inspiration photo but went with focusing on the white, pine cones and greenery.

I started with Whimsy stamps Pine cone and greenery die. I cut the pine cone out of kraft card stock and inked it with distress inks. I placed it in the corner of a Pretty Pink Posh scalloped frame die cut from gold foil card stock. A Hero Arts sentiment was inked with Versafine black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

Black and white gingham ribbon and a few clear sequins finish it off.

I know I can't be the only one who still needs to make Holiday cards, LOL, so come play with us this week! And check out the design team and our guest Rosemary's cards too.

Thanks for visiting.

Inspired by all the little Things #31

Hi Friends! I'm so happy to be moving on to Christmas/Holiday related photo inspirations with Inspired by all the little Things. This week we have such a pretty image, love the bird, music notes and poinsettia.

I started with Sweet and Sassy's Peace of God set for the bird. I think he's a blue jay but I made him into a chickadee. :)

Using Mojo Monday 471 sketch, I chose Bo Bunny music notes paper, some birch paper from another pad  and some red and black card stock to compose the layout. The poinsettia and scalloped circle dies are Spellbinders and the banner is MFT. I didn't get real technical when Copic coloring the image, just trying to get it done!

This week we have the talented LeeAnn Pugliese joining us as well as our awesome design team so come play with us!

Happy Halloween!

Hey Friends, It's Halloween and time to share a card I made a few weeks back for my Local Card Club.

See that purple sheer ribbon with the eyelash-trimmed edges? We were challenged to use that on a card. I chose to loop it thru a SSS tag and tie it with Twinery purple twine.

I colored up the sweet Witch from MFT "Which way" set and placed her on some punched black grass. This paper is Pebbles Boo! The sentiment is from the same set. I tucked this card in a Goodie bag for my 6 year old Niece yesterday. Hope you will have a great day. Thanks for visiting!

Inspired by all the little Things #30

Hi Friends, How about a hot beverage? Maybe Pumpkin flavored? This week's at Inspired by all the little Things #30 we have a yummy and fall-like photo to inspire you.

I took out my Lawn Fawn Thankful for You and Love you a Latte for this one and colored up my Pumpkins with Copics. I paper-pieced the cup and used this pretty Echo Park "Fall is in the air" paper for background and elements. The sketch is Sketch Saturday.
Our Guest Katie Brooks and the design team made some beautiful cards so stop by the blog and have a look. We'd love to see how you are inspired by the challenge too!

Merry Monday 219

Hey Friends, I'm going "old school" today with my cards for Merry Monday 219. The challenge is to add a bird or birds to your card. I found this K and Co. paper in my stash that MUST be 8 years old at least, but I have always loved this paper. The little chickadees are adorable.

Following Mojo Monday sketch 468 from Oct. 3rd, I just let the patterned paper do the work. I never use punches anymore but I like this SU one. Newer products used are a LF stitched square die and the stitched tag die from Avery Elle. The sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts.

As long as I had the paper out I made a 2nd card to beef up my card stash. It's quite simple but never the less it's one more to send.

The Challenge 83

Hey there all, I've got another Christmas card, it's the time of year to really crank them out! One or 2 more fall/Halloween cards in the works then Christmas/Holiday galore.

For this one I used a Simon Says Stamp card kit set "Gifts of Love" colored with Copics and highlighted with white gel pen.

I cut the cat/dog? image out with a MFT stitched circle die and layered it on top of some pretty patterned paper from a few years ago.

Fairy Christmas Merry Monday

Hi Friends, this is going to be a quick post because the challenge closes soon. I had to play in the Merry Monday 218 Plaid Challenge! Plaid is all the rage right now. I used My Mind's Eye Sugar Plum 6x6 paper. It's so pastel and yummy.

I used a Create with Connie Sketch but found out it is a Stampin Up only challenge so I couldn't link up.
OK, how cute is this Fairy Christmas Lawn Fawn Stamp set? Oh gosh, it's adorable!

It was fun to color the Fairies with Copics. I added some matching MME enamel dots to finish it off.

Hope you are having a nice weekend! Thanks for
visiting.

Inspired by all the little Things 29

Hey Friends, How's your October going? Flying by, right? Today for this weeks' inspiration I used a Simon Says Stamp stitched leaf die to cut my wood grain paper. Underneath I placed a prepared piece of watercolor paper.

To prepare it, I sponged Ripe persimmon, Mustard seed and maybe Peeled paint ink on the paper then splattered some watered down Copic white. I added a Avery Elle vellum die cut banner that was heat embossed in gold. (Hero arts)

As a final touch I added clear dew drops to mimic the raindrops in the inspiration. I kept it simple so this card could be used for multiple reasons.
I hope you come by the Inspired by all the little Things blog and see what the other inspiration awaits you!

Inspired by all the little Things 28

Hi Friends, welcome to #28 of Inspired by all the little Things! This week I used a Penny Black Pumpkins cling stamp which I masked to create a bunch, similar to the inspiration photo. Yup, I Copic colored some in pink and blue, it was fun. :)

I first tried my Zig Clean color brush markers, oh my, that didn't go well so I went back to my trusty Copics, in my comfort zone. I grabbed the wrong paper so they didn't blend as well as I expected but I still like it.

I masked the stems so I could sponge Antique Linen distress ink on the background. The sentiment is MFT and embossed in Platinum. I matted my colored panel with Vellum before adhering it to a teal card base. The sequins are Doodlebug.

This week's guest is Marisa Ritzen. Come on by and see how we all were inspired by the photo!

Merry Monday 217

Hello, time for a Vintage Christmas card from me! I had a fun time making this card this afternoon. I started with an old K&Co. chipboard stocking piece and looked for matching paper.

I found Fancy Pants "Merry Little Christmas" which has a vintage/collage-y feel. I distressed the edges with a TH distress tool and sponged on Antique Linen distress ink.

Following the sketch, I laid out the panels, adding a MS doily, Jillibean Soup ribbon, twine, a jingle bell, and a few clear sequins. The card base is Papertrey Ink Kraft, my favorite.

Thanks for visiting today.

Inspired by all the little Things 27

Hey Friends, It's time for a new Inspired by all the little Things! This time we have pretty umbrellas to inspire you. Since my friend's daughter's shower is coming up, I made a baby shower card.

I used Lawn Fawn's  Hello Baby stamp set for my shaker card and also the Bannerific set. Pretty Pink Posh scalloped frame die and sequins were used as well.
I think this is a fun challenge so come join us this week!

Inspired by all the little Things 26

Hey there Friends, We've got another pretty inspiration photo for you this week at Inspired by all the little Things #26. I chose to take the wood, the little bit of green and the love theme from the photo.  I used  Cartabella Rustic Elegance collection for this. It's so pretty. My daughter's 2nd wedding anniversary is this weekend, so perfect timing for the challenge.
I started with a journal card from the collection and matted it on a SB vellum die cut scalloped rectangle. I hand cut a fish tale banner and adhered it on a beautiful textured wood grain A2-sized panel. All the papers are textured to add to the rustic feel. A SSS sentiment was inked with brown ink and diecut. Some grey pearls finished it off.
My daughter's wedding had a very rustic theme so I think they will love this.
Lori Turner is our guest this week. Stop by, see the DT cards and play along, won't you?

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop-Fall

Hey Friends, I couldn't very well let this week go by without participating in the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, now could I? I had to whip up a little somethin'.

I used a Simon Says Stamp called Choose Happy for the sentiment focal point that I heat embossed with Copper powder. It has about the same shine as the ribbon I used but the photo didn't capture it. I pulled out my neglected Spellbinder Labels 28 dies for this card. The size of the card was dictated by the width of the largest die. It's about 4" or maybe 3.75.

I used a new Echo park Fall paper pad that was fun to break into. I actually regret the placement of the bow but, oh well, I'm probably just going keep this card. My husband always makes the coffee every morning so I may sneak down stairs one morning and put it by the coffee maker.

Have you seen some of the awesome cards in the Blog Hop gallery? Wow, they are impressive and there is a gazillion! Nice prizes too!

Lawnscaping 138

Hi Friends, I'm playing in the Lawnscaping Challenge 138 -Use a Geometric shape or shape. I was also heavily inspired by Amy R's ink blending at the Color Throwdown Challenge 411. But, Ugh! I missed the link up. Frown.
I used Distress Inks like Amy but used slightly different colors. I used Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade and Scattered Straw. For the stamps, I used 2 sets. They are Lawn Fawn Booyah from last year and Frosty Fairy Friends (the tree house) from this year, colored with Copics. I inked the background on Bristol paper, cut out the images and popped them up through the die cut circles. A heat embossed sentiment was added. I love how the background came out. It's so bright and pretty!
