Get.well.Phindy's & Flourishes.Country.Challenge

Hi Friends, it's been awhile since I blogged. I have been crafting away on different projects but I had a good card day today. It's snowing in New England today so I left early from work and went to my craft room to play!
I combined 2 challenges for this card. Phindy's Place is having a get well card challenge this week. I tried my hand at this "in the field" image. It was a little challenging to color but I did ok. Considering I haven't touched my Copics in weeks, I pulled it off. I was hoping to make a masculine card but I ended up going feminine.

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge asks us to make a card inspired by "country comfort" this week. A nature inspired image fits the bill, I think! Thanks for visiting. :)

MFTwsc57

Hi all, I decided to play with the MFT challenge this week. The sketch was a PITA  challenging, but fun! LOL.I made it for my MIL who is recovering from a fractured pelvis. It's just a hairline fracture but never the less, painful and hard to diagnose and recover from.

I inked up this cute "pure innocence" stamp. I colored with Copics. This one doesn't work well with paper piecing on the raincoat. At least not for me, so I had to color the whole raincoat. I would have rather paper pieced it. I highlighted the coloring with an "inksentials" white gel pen, which is the best one to buy if you need one. I paper pieced the umbrella.

The paper is Echo Park, walk in the park. Isn't it cute that the rain drops match the umbrella image theme? I've been wanting to use this paper with this image. this card took me 2.5 hours to make because I was fooling around with the wonky panels. Of course, being anal as I am, I had to make the rain drops go in the correct direction!!! Perfectionism is a curse!

I used the clouds and sun die-namics for this, and some dew drops. Wow, I thought it would be difficult cutting the felt clouds but they cut like butter! I love how machine stitching anchors the card edges of the card and makes it neat.
That's all for now, my friends.

Lets get creative mini album, Life on the scrap beach swap for Rose

Hi blog friends, My post today is a video of my latest mini album for a swap. I had a really fun time making this. I used K& Co Flora and Fauna paper collection. I used the ephemra pack thoughout and bubble-type embellishments on the tags. I did alot of things that I had never done before like using grungeboard, using glimmer mists, making stick pins and charms, making a flower, trying a slider card element that didn't work!

Please leave a comment. I'd like to know if you like it!
Kim

I hope my swap partner, Rose enjoys her album!
