SSS183-TT217-Anniversary

Hi Peeps, I'm squeezing this card under the wire for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge 217-Wedded Bliss. I didn't need a wedding card but I did need an Anniversary card. The anniversary comes after the wedding so it's close!

I used Flourishes "A Year in Flowers Two" for the Lily image (Copics). The sentiment is another company. Not sure which right now. I followed the Sweet Sunday Sketch 183  and like how it came out. The paper is MME-Follow your Heart. CS is PTI.

Just a few brads, pearls and some punched butterflies finish it off. Thanks for visiting!

DS-Mother's Day

Ahhh, Sunday, time for crafting! I wanted to combine a few challenges and make a Mother's Day card. It will be here before we know it. I used Deconstructed Sketch 99 and the Papercraft Star 142 -Photo Inspiration. I used the teapot from the photo inspiration but not the neutral colors. I was going to use neutrals but fell in love with the colors of the MME papers.

The cute little doily is Maya Road. The rose is Wild Orchid Crafts. Cricut cartridge "Heritage" was use with my Expression for this ADORABLE Teaset cut. I love it!!! The stamps are Verve.

Thanks for visiting!

Seize the Birthday 15 Masculine

Hi there! Here's my masculine version of the Seize the birthday 14 sketch challenge as promised. I think I'll give this to my Father-in-law next week for his birthday. He used to dress up for work before he retired. These papers are so like the ties he used to wear. Of course they are Graphic 45, Proper Gentleman.
I used several different stamps companies for this. The Outline stamp for the spellbinder is Waltzingmouse. The Happy Birthday sentiment is Flourishes and the Dad sentiment is Inky Antics.
I love when the paper does the work of making a card pretty or interesting.

Seize the Birthday 14

Scroll down for my Tuesday Throwdown Post

Hi Peeps! Just a quick post with a birthday card I made for the Seize the Birthday Challenge #14. I'm trying to play along each week because I need a boatload of birthday cards for the upcoming months.
My focal point it a MFT birthday stamp set (triple scoop) I recently acquired! I used some Crate Paper "papers" which are actually pinker than the red tones that are showing up here. I just added a button, twine and some little gems. (look hard!) Easy Peasy!
I already made the masculine version for next week so stay tuned. Have a good week. :)

Tuesday Throwdown 144- Make your own background

Hi Friends, How are you this fine Tuesday? This week's Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 144 is to "Make your own background" and  is sponsored by The Twinery! I hadn't had the pleasure of trying The Twinery Bakers Twine until now. They provided us with a nice sample package to use. The Twine is very nice quality and was a joy to tie.

Sooooo...what do you think of my background?? I used a technique I found on Splitcoast Stampers called Herringbone Technique. It was fun to layout all the strips of Basic Grey Plumeria paper. I added a Verve diecut tag, some satin ribbon, a button, a few small brads and the fabulous twine!

The sentiment stamp is Flourishes and the butterfly in Hampton Arts (from Kristi's blog candy). I used last weeks "The Sweet Stop" sketch 206.
Some other challenges this card fits are:

Dream Valley Challenges # 5-things-with-wings Sweet Stampin Challenge Buttons-bows-and-polka-dots There are polka dots on the tag and a button and a bow.

I hope you enjoyed visiting!

DS97

Hi all, I'm here sharing a card I made for my husband for his birthday. He's an avid boater and likes all things beachy so I pulled out a new MFT stamp set. I think it's called On the Beach.
I used some K&Co beachy paper and the current Deconstructed Sketch 97
A Basic Grey button (that looks like sea glass!), some Queen & Co bakers twine, a starfish charm, an EK success border punch are some of the supplies I used.

Lets all say a prayer for the victims of the Boston bombings.
Have a safe and blessed day.

I'm also entering this in the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge  #216-Frame it

TT215- Around the House Challenge

Hi Bloggers, How's your weekend going? I sure wish it would warm up in CT. Maybe some summer blueberries will cheer me up! I'm playing in the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday 215 Challenge. The challenge is to use something from around the house. I used a button. Some of the other players have used paper clips, paper towels, coffee filters and the like.
I used a pretty berry stamp from Flourishes colored with copics and cut out with a scalloped oval spellbinder die. On the inside I will stamp "thank you berry much" from the same stamp set.
I'm just delighted to use the fantastic Webster's Pages paper with the cute berries printed on it. All the paper is from the same collection. I used a seize the birthday sketch.

Flourishes Summer Lovin

Hi Friends, I'm playing in the Flourishes Summer Lovin Challenge this week. They are asking us to make a card reflecting summer themes. As in the inspiration photo I used a lemonade image. That sure says summertime! And lemonade draws Bees if it's outside in my yard!

I used one of the new MME paper pads, classic circle and scalloped circle spellbinder dies, an embossing folder and mini gingham bow. Easy Peasy!
Thanks for visiting! Kim :)

Timeless Tuesday 214, Wedding Card

Hi Blog Friends!! How are you all this fine day? I'm here to show you this pretty Wedding Card I made for my friend's daughter. The wedding is next week so I needed to get working!
I cased the fabulous work of Yvonne Anabelle. I saw her card on Pinterest (click her name to see her card) and fell in love with it. Now I have to find a tutorial for a box to put it in. The card is 5" x 7" so it's rather large.

I used Flourishes "A year in Flowers 2" for the roses, colored with Copics of course. I am following this week's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge 214 which is to layer ribbons. It was a challenge to figure out how to cut the spellbinder dies like Yvonne did but I figured it out! I purchase the large sparkly button at Joanne's and threaded it with metallic twine. I had to use hot glue to adhere the bow and button, they are quite heavy!

Other Challenges for this card:

Two Sister-Sparkle-My button is sparkly
Catered Crop-Twine Love-Mine is metallic twine

Dies-Spellbinders, Labels Twenty, Classic Oval, Memory Box, Darla Butterfly Punch-Martha Stewart-Deco Fan, Card stock, PTI, Copic paper-Neenah, DP-Colorbox, Ink, Momento Tux. Black, Ribbon, twine, button-Joannes
