Inspired by all the little things #54

Hey Friends, I missed you last week. I have been battling at cold/virus for a few weeks but feeling better now. This week at Inspired by all the little things we have a pretty inspiration photo for you all. I chose to focus on the flowers and colors.

I pulled out my Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Daffodils stamp set and colored them with Copics. I die cut them and the butterfly from the same set with the matching dies. I sponged on some Tumbled Glass distress ink. A Hero Arts sentiment was stamped in black Versafine ink. Lastly, yellow twine (Twinery) was added to the top. I feel like my card making skills are a bit rusty this week.

I hope you all will come by and visit the blog and play too!

Inspired by all the little things 52

Hi Friends, Welcome to Inspired by all the little things Challenge 52. I kept it clean and simple this week. Sometimes people comment that I have the perfect stamps for each challenge. In this case, I did buy this Avery Elle stamp set with the challenge in mind. I had wanted a City Scape stamp for a long time so I got one! So for the inspiration, I focused on the city buildings and the stripes.

This set is perfect for masculine cards! It came together in a flash because I just heat-embossed and diecut everything. The striped element is washi tape. I just added a little zig marker and water behind the clouds and some enamel dots and it was done!

Our guest this week is Renee Matarese.
Have a good week.

Power Poppy Challenge-Grab that Spark

Hey Friends, today I'm entering the Power Poppy Monthly challenge with 2 cards. I had purchased these digital stamps a while back with my Nephew in mind. He loves fishing and so do many other men in my family so these were perfect for them all.

In the challenge there are 3 sketches to choose from. For my first card I chose sketch 3. I colored the image with Copics and put the card together using the sketch. I added a paper clip and feather to give the illusion of a fishing fly. I mailed this to my Nephew this morning.

Since I printed my image in my printer, I may as well  have printed 2 on the same page! The paper I used is X-press Blend It by Copic. The card below uses Sketch 2 from the challenge. I moved the small rectangle to better suit my card. This one uses grosgrain ribbon and enamel dots as embellishments.
Now my father-in-law's card is done for Father's Day. Yippee!

Thanks for visiting!
Kim

Inspired by all the little things #51

Hey Friends! Thanks for stopping by to see my card for Inspired by all the little things Challenge 51.  The inspiration photo has an adorable cupcake with chicks so I pulled out my new-to-me Lawn Fawn Chirpy, Chirp, Chirp set for the chick.

I Copic colored the chick and egg and set him on a stitched circle die. I used this week's wonderful Mojo Monday sketch to put together my card. The cute papers are from Echo Park Easter 6x6 pad, even the brown solid comes in that pad. Yea! Spring is here!

Our wonderful guest this week is Lisa Lara. Come on over to the blog and see what she and the design team have to share.
Until next time!

Inspired by all the little things #50

Hi Friends, Welcome to our 50th Challenge at Inspired by all the little things! We are thrilled to be celebrating this milestone with you all and we have each invited a guest to our party!

I have invited the talented Tracy McDonald. Her blog is I wanna build a memory. I know you all know her for her fabulous coloring skills. She has been a fabulous blog friend to me over the years. Head over to her blog to check out the card she made, won't you?

I chose to be inspired by the cake, the wood floor, the colors and the leaves in the photo.  I used Winnie and Walter "Sugar Rush" set for the cake and the Winnie and Walter "The Party"set for the sentiment.

Copic markers were used to color the cake and the stand and sentiment were Gold heat embossed. The flowers are from Avery Elle Laurel and the leaves are punched with a MS leaf punch. As you can see, I made a shaker card with gold sequins mix from Lucy's.

I am posting this from Florida while visiting Mom but I'm coming home Saturday night and will join in the celebration fun then!
Hugs, Kim
