Water you up to?

Hey Friends, I was playing with my new Simon Says Stamp July card kit today.

The bikini die is so cute! I cut my bikini out of Copic-friendly paper and colored it like a water melon.

The coat of glossy accents I put on it changed the color a bit. Before that the colors matched the patterned paper much better. I cut the banner shape with an Avery Elle die set, set some white eyelets and strung it with baker's twine. I can't wait to make some more cards with this kit.

It is raining here yet again! Hope to have some sun shine soon! (but I won't be wearing a bikini :o)

Inspired by all the little Things 62

Hi Friends, Since it's full on summer now, I chose to use a beach umbrella for my card instead of a rain umbrella! Also these ladies are doing what I want to do, hang out at the beach and get some sun!

You can interpret the Inspired by all the little things inspiration any way you would like!

I used a wood mounted Art Impressions "Lets be fabulous" stamp for this. I received it as a grab bag gift from my LCC. I don't know what kind of paper I stamped it on but it wouldn't blend very well. I made the best of it. I cut it out and set it on a prepared panel. I just got the new MFT cloud stencil and used it for my sky, then sponged on distress ink for sand. The sentiment comes from a Art Impressions/Hampton arts set from Michaels.

Our guest this week is Amy Kolling. Please come on by the blog and join us too!
P.S. We're taking July and August off so we'll see you the first Saturday in September!
Hugs, Kim

Inspired by all the little things #61

Hey there, Welcome to Inspired by all the little things 61! Summer's coming and I sometimes see violets around the neighborhood if I'm lucky! They are so delicate and pretty.

I was a little stumped on this week's inspiration and I didn't have any window stamps or dies so I had to dig up something older. This stamp is retired Flourishes colored with Copic Markers. See that dark shadow? And by shadow I mean blob which came out of my marker! I don't mind it and didn't want to start over. Sigh...

I used my WPlus9 Sunshine Layers Dies to cut out the scalloped panel and the white inner panel, added a sentiment and some enamel dots.

Our guest this week is Sue Berkley! Come by and see the design team cards and joins us, won't you?

Inspired by all the little things #60

Hey Friends, Welcome to Challenge 60 at Inspired by all the little things! I pulled out my new SSS June card kit and inked up the flower cluster with the new Barely Beige ink and then heat embossed clear EP over top. I water colored it with Distress Inks and when dry, I added some colored pencil highlights in certain areas.

Using MFT alpha dies I cut the Mr. and Mrs. into the panel.  In my first attempt, I filled the apha's in with 3 layers of white card stock to mimic the inspiration but didn't like it so card 2 is a shaker instead. I added some sparkling clear, and iridescent sequins and some twine to finish it.

This week our guest is Jen Willis. Come on by. We'd love to show you the design teams' cards.
AND we hope you join us.

Inspired by all the little Things #59

Hey Friends, Happy June! Can you believe it's June already? We have an oh-so-pretty Inspiration photo for you this week at Inspired by all the little things.

I took out the Wplus9 stamp set again, Ranunculus,  so I could focus on those gorgeous flowers. I heat embossed it in gold and colored with Zigs and water. I splattered with gold paint and machine stitched the white panel. I adhered the white panel on blue card stock and tied blue twine around it. Finally I heat embossed a SSS sentiment on a label die cut.

This week we have the talented Amy Sheffer as our guest and also our talented design team members. We hope you play along!

Until next time,
Kim
