Case this Sketch 183

Hey Friends, I'm loading up a summer card today that doubles as a birthday card. I'm playing in this week's Case this Sketch 183. As I was trying to design a totally different card with the flip flop stamp from Simon Says Stamp, the CTS sketch popped into my head and I saw flip flops in place of the hearts. I quickly switched gears and made up 2 of these since I needed a couple of quick birthday cards. 

I'll be in a big push now to use my summer stamp sets before time gets away. These were a snap to make with the Simple Stories Snap paper. I stamped the flip flops, cut them out and adhered them to a Lil Inkers stitched rectangle of white card stock. After stamping the sentiment I added small gems and they were done!

CAS Shark Card

Hi Friends, I'm playing in the CAS Colours and Sketches Challenge-184 challenge to complete a masculine birthday card. 

I had gotten this adorable Avery Elle "Hello Chum" set recently and need to ink up the cute shark. I love the punny sentiments in the set! I colored my shark with Copics and fussy cut out. 

Following the sketch I simply cut a SSS stitched circle and backed it with a piece of card stock. I then layered some Simple Stories PP on the card base, added thin strips of red cs and added the center panel with foam tape. I will add some sequins or enamel dots later because it's a little plain. 

Anyone who's seen the movie "Jaws" will know this play on words from the famous movie line "we're gonna need a bigger boat!"

Color Throwdown and Freshly Made

Hi Friends,

I'm playing in a few challenges today. One is the Color Throwdown 403 and I used the Freshly Made Sketch 247 to put this clean and simple card together. 

I had so much trouble getting this card made. Mr. Mojo made me fuss and throw away all kinds of paper trying to come up with a layout for the adorable Simon Says Stamp Unicorn. I got it free as a birthday gift from SSS. 

I'm rusty since I haven't made a card in two weeks. It's so hot but I have been enjoying summer. 

As you can see I sponged a distress ink background on water color paper and added some glitter paper stars and sequins. The inside sentiment says "filled with rainbows and something". Haha. I'm not home so I can't look it up and Google can't find it.

Retro Sketches 222 and Merry Monday

Hey there Friends, I have a Christmas card today. Did you know that you can link up any Christmas cards you make this summer at Merry Monday Challenge Blog?

They are closed to challenges but allowing us to link up all summer for a chance to win a gift card. I'm just playing because I gotta get some cards made! 

I'm following Challenge 211, make a blue, white gold and silver card. This is blue, really! Just teal blue. I put it together using Retro Sketches 222 loosely. 

This card was much prettier without the gold elements. I regret putting them on there. I have a saying I always say. "I crapped it up" by adding the gold. ANYWHO, here it is. :)

Hey Friends, here is my submission to the current Lawn Fawn Lawnscaping Challenge 133 Mood Board. I took out my Baked with Love stamps and dies to complete this. The patterned paper and card stock are Lawn Fawn too! 

I used Freshly Made Sketches 244.

December Daily 2015

Hey Friends, This post has my December Daily 2105 album. I used Becky Higgins, Heidi Swapp Oh What Fun, Value kit. I finished it in January but hadn't made a video.

 My video is not the best but you'll get the idea! It was VERY time consuming to complete in the month of December but I'm happy I have it now. Thanks for visiting!

Curtain Call-Cherry Bomb

 

Hi Friends, I'm playing in a few challenges today with this card, primarily The Curtain Call Challenge-Cherry Bomb! When I saw the cherry in the photo I thought of my Simon Says Stamp "Ice Cream Dream" striped Popsicle stamp. I colored the images with Copic and fussy cut out. 

Following the Retro Sketches #221, I created a panel with Lawn Fawn patterned paper and layered my images on foam tape with some strips of paper, one border punched, and a Lawn Fawn sentiment heat embossed in gold. I added some gold thread and sequins to add some fun. 

I'm linking ups to this challenges as well.
