Sketch Saturday Snowflake Card

Hi Friends, Happy Monday! Today I bring you a snowflake card that failed to make the Merry Monday challenge yesterday.  For me blogging a card takes longer than making it sometimes, how about you?

I was totally in love with the yummy aqua and brown colors in the Merry Monday inspiration photo. I also wanted to use my newer SSS snowflake stamp set that never saw ink during the holidays.  I stamped the white panel with various shades of Momento ink and added the embossed PTI strip to match. A SSS Alexis Snowflake die was cut with DCWV teal foil paper and set on top of a vellum MFT stitched circle cut. I added SU ticket punched corners to match the sketch with clear gems.

Challenges I'll link to are:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge -Something new (my stamps and die)
Merry Monday (I missed it but wanted to say the challenge inspired my card)
Amusing Challenge -Winter/Snow

  1. Love this, I'm still making Christmas cards too! I figured if a make a few here and there throughout the year it won't be a rush nearer to Christmas! Love the pattern paper and the embossing, great layout too! Hazel x

  2. Wow! That snowflake panel is gorgeous! I would have sworn it was designer paper. Fabulous!!! Great job with all these challenges! I know what you mean about the blogging... Taking the photos and editing takes me way too long, too. Sometimes I think I spend more time on the computer than I do in my stamp room!

  5. I'm always looking for designs that help me use up my huge hoard of patterned papers (which this design still is), but call me floored when I got to your text and read that you MADE that beautiful snowflake paper, Kim! What a great eye you have and a steady hand with the stamps and ink!! I'm impressed!! I also really love that stitched circle vellum snowflake brooch! Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #3!! Hugs, Darnell
