Tuesday Throwdown 154

Hi Everyone, how's your holiday week going so far? I only have to work 2 days then it's Vacation time for me! Well, let's get to the Tuesday Throwdown 154, shall we? This week's challenge is Stars and Stripes and our fabulous sponsor is Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps. I chose this cool baseball image to make a masculine birthday card. If you look closely you'll see the Star Embossing Folder I used. I kept it simple because men don't like fussy, of course.
I added a Verve sentiment, Fancy Pants Striped Paper, a punched border, and some paper and gem stars.
Come join our "Stars and Stripes" challenge this week! Have a great "Independence Day" holiday if you live in America. :)

DS104 and TT

Hi Peeps, This is card 2 of a set I'm working on. You'll see the set LATER in the month when I make a box to put them in. I'm using Crate Paper Pretty Party for all of the cards. I'm submitting this to the "water" challenge at Timeless Tuesday 226-Make a splash at Flourishes.
Thanks for visiting! Kim
I have made the box, just have to finish card 3, then I'll show them all to you with the box. :)
Sorry about the fussy photo!

DS107-Mom's Card & Follow me on Bloglovin

Hi Friends, How are you this summer Sunday morning? I'm here to show you Mom's Birthday card that I made yesterday following the fabby Deconstructed Sketch 107 and the C4C192 Hexagon challenge.
I love how feminine and pretty this turned out. I did lots of layering, stitching and yummy color choices.
The paper is MME, Spellbinder fancy oval die cut, PTI tag and stamp set, and Recollections (prima) paper rose. Links to challenges below. :)

Please follow me on Bloglovin. I'm so fearful that I'll wake up on July 1 with no one coming to visit me anymore. I'm sure most of you have used their tool that transfers all your Blogger Reader followers over to Bloglovin. I know I have and trust me, I will keep following all of you as well!
So if you haven't already, please go to my sidebar and click the Follow icon. THANKS!

Forever begins now-Cara's Engagement

Hi all, I have been meaning to post this card that I made to congratulate my daughter and her fiance on their engagement. Do you recognize this "altered" A Day for Daisy image called "Forever Begins Now? I asked the artist Tammy Thompson to draw the image without hair on the groom especially for me, AND she did!!!
If you look closely, you'll see my daughter's freckles colored with my copics. Don't ask about the layout of the card, it was a rush job! (eye rolling over here!) I didn't even  photographic it properly, because in all the excitement, I forgot :) oh well.
I used MME paper, a fancy oval spellbinder die, a banner die, ribbon and pearls.

Here is the happy couple!

Thanks for visiting!

Mjo 296

  • Hi Friends, I played in the Mojo Monday 296 challenge this week while also participating in the Timeless Tuesday Flourishes challenge, From the garden, which was to use a fruit or vegetable image. I used the strawberry basket image from Flourishes. The combo of these 2 challenges was a fun one for me.
I'm in the process of making 3 cards to make a gift set, this is the first one. I used the Pretty Party Crate Paper pad for this and will use it for the other cards to come too! The button is Crate Paper too.
My goal for the gift set is to make very versatile cards that can be used for many different occasions.
Since the challenge is about to end I have to keep this brief. Thanks for visiting!

TT150-Embossing

Hello Fellow Card Makers, This week's Challenge at Tuesday Throwdown 150 is EMBOSSING. Any kind-Dry or Heat embossing. We are sponsored by Robyn's Fetishes. I chose this adorable piggy image named "I'm hog wild about you". I thought this would be a cute Anniversary card for my stash until I need one, which I'm sure will be soon. I'm partial to animal images like these, they can be for anyone.
I'm not thrilled with my coloring but I didn't have the right Copic colors for the look I wanted. Oh well, I'm sure the recipient will like it.
I used the Cuttlebug Embossing folder called Argyle on some pretty aqua card stock. The patterned paper is MME, The beautiful sentiment is Waltzingmouse. Twine is Doodlebug. Punch is MS.
I hope you all have a chance to emboss some pretty paper and come join us!!!
