Hi Bloggers, I made a card for this week's Merry Monday 368 challenge with the theme of non-traditional colors and paired it with Mojo Monday Sketch ___ . This style card is a little different for me. I rarely just stamp a card but I am learning. When I first got into card making I used cricut cuts then graduated to coloring images using mostly sentiment stamps. Now I am doing more straight stamping, because it's fun!
I used all Momento Ink colors, knowing I wanted non-traditional colors. I wasn't sure what to do with the background so I decided to go for a color blocked effect to match the ink. Not using patterned paper is also outside my norm but I'm pretty happy with these 2 cards. Links to challenges below.

I like them too. You picked great colors. The stamped trees are so cute. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteIt is liberating to use solid image stamps once in a while and give yourself a break from coloring, which can be very time consuming. I just love how bright and fun this is. Fabulous creativity with both challenges!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Kim! We loved your card at Merry Monday and you are our winner. If you would like to be our Guest Designer next week, email me at bonklass(at)gmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot to like about this card: your paper and ink coordination is perfect and I love the three background panels with the three foreground trees. The embossing really stands out and using these brights with Kraft and white is perfect. It's delightful to see you playing along with the CASSettes this month with this pretty card. Hugs, Lesley
