Lawnscaping 122

Hey there Friends, How are you this cold winter day? I'm sharing a Valentine card for several challenges. I'm playing in the Lawnscaping 122 "water color" challenge and the "critters" challenge for Simon Says Stamp Wed. Challenge (sponsored by Lawn Fawn). Then, for a nod to Jenn Shurkus's "Coolest Card Series" I had to add a few snowflakes to my scene.

I water colored the background on water color paper with Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Festive Berries Distress Inks. I also smooshed the same inks on another piece of paper and die cut the heart. I used a water brush and Antique Linen ink for the bunnies.

I used Rileys ABC's LF stamp set for the word Valentine, heat embossed in gold powder. The bunnies, snowflakes and other sentiment are from LF Snow Day. Other Lawn Fawn items are the Puffy Clouds border dies, hillside border dies, gold bakers twine, Polka in the Dark Paper. Rectangle die is LID and of course PPP sparkling clear sequins.
Thanks for visiting!
Kim

  1. Hi Kim, I just stopped by to say how much I like your card. Great combination for all of the challenges!! I'm always curious how people adhere vellum. Did you just put glue behind the sentiment? And I suppose the twine helps. It looks great!

    1. Yes I just used wet glue behind the sentiment only. I applied little dots.
